Fantastic fabric shop in Invers is shutting. Is it silly to do a 6hr road trip to get a bargin that I don't really need??

Yes its nearly Christmas again been doing some christmas sewing, trying my hand at stippling. You may have seen my thread I started.
My boy is not little anymore hes 18 now and nearly 6 foot tall. I got married as well to a lovely guy, so its not just me and the boy I have a ready made family and I love it.
Oh well movie time soon.
Hope all the oldies ( I don't mean old in age I mean the other people) from this thread are all doing ok. Hi to all

Let's get lots sewing done this year.
Started shift dress for a wedding, shopped in my stash. Where has all the nice fabric gone?.
Made pencil skirt and jacket for DIL who returns to work in Feb.
While in my stash came across a nice piece of dupino silk. Thinking of making a Jean's style jacket so it is more casual, might get some wear out if it that way.

I have destached my fabric finally. Got rid on bags and boxes (6 car loads - boot and back seats etc.filled them to the brim.) of them Now I can see the garage again and have spare bedroom. Next on the list will be the sewing room. That will be a bit harder as that's where all the good fabric is. Now for a coffee break. Hi to everyone.

Well we are into 2020, haven’t been in here for years. I’m still quilting, including Long arm Quilting for others so life is busy. Still work out of the house starting this week just for two days per week. Im also still knitting and spinning so I’m never bored. I see dilli that you have de stashed, bet that was a job and a half. Hope you did keep some for crafting.

I miss this group. I am still doing patchwork and belong to our local group. I love it. You get so much inspiration from other people. I remember a lady, I think her name was Jumbodon or similar. She was awesome, so much fun and quite prolific with her patchwork. I wonder where all the posters are now.????

I miss this group so much also. Often think of you all. SKippie I have destashed but still have heaps to keep me going. Find sewing at the machine quite painfull these days can manage about 30 - 45 minutes then have to let it go and ease the back and shoulder. Its the bending over the machine and sitting that get s me. But I have started knitting again also so can still keep myself busy. I am still stuck in Hamilton ffloss. Nice to catch up with some of you.
