How is everyone this coolish overcast (in Wanganui anyway) Saturday? I had a late start but since being up and about at 10.30 have stewed a big pot of apples, prepared a casserole for dinner, lit the fire and made lunch. Have to go grocery shopping soon and then will head into the sewing room. I bought eight 1/2 metres pieces of new fabrics yesterday plus a bundle from St Vincent de Paul's. Sigh .... I think I need therapy! Have a big lot of fabrics coming from Missouri Star Quilt too and more than I will ever use in my stash at home.

Getting there getting there slowly. AM walking a lot better now and walking a bit further. Still sore and bruised. But my sewing room is looking inviting. Hope to get back in there soonish as soon as I can sit comfortable again.

Hi everyone .... I have just started work again, this time from home, and it's taking up quite a bit of my time as I get organised. Hopefully I will be in a better routine by next week. Also looking after my daughters puppy for 5 weeks while she and her family are overseas. It's like having a baby all over again. He woke us up at 5am today and I am exhausted. He is now having a sleep in his crate and I have put my feet up.

Jugs on for drinks everyone come and join in. Had my lounge changed round today, so it is easier to get on the computer now. I like it so that's what matters eh. Will need to vacuum tomorrow as it was all done late today. And fingers xed the dishwasher will be installed tomorra, so a massive change around. then I can get the final lot out of the sewing room and I can get back to sewing. Its been clogged up since November and I have major withdrawals from sewing. GOOD NITE ALL>

Things are drying out now but there are some people who have been badly affected by the floods. I was one of the lucky ones.

Pleased you got them Barb, was a little worries with the floods etc. As I know the P.O. can put bags in a corner to sort later, Happy reading. I only did day 1 and didn't do day 2 of the workshop (was far to noisy for me with all the machines making different noises and the chattering, couldn't hear what the instructions etc were. so gave up. I was waiting and looking forward to the roll heming but we didn't get to that on day 1. so missed out.
Pleased that things are drying out for you too, hope you don't get another flood like that again.
Im starting to see leeway in my sewing room, so looking forward to getting back to sewing have missed it.

Well, we are now into July - where has the year gone? Hope everyone has escaped the winter bugs. I have surprised myself this week - made a wall hanging for a friend who has moved overseas for cancer treatment not available in NZ, a baby's taggy, finished a cot quilt, made 2 changing mats for babies and finished a quilt which was started about 5 years ago. Very satisfying.

Yous aren't the only ones with fabric addiction! That's about all I buy on trade me, and when I go op shopping I just can't resist grabbing the patchwork and quilting mags, especially when there only 50c compared to $10 for 3. I have heaps of them with post-its sticking out with all the things I will one day create. Hopefully.

Floss, maybe you can make a template yourself. Spotlight sells the sheets to make them. Do you belong to a quilt group where a club member might have a template you can borrow. Worth a try.

Yes trolley has been assembled, no stitching though. Today Jumbobon and I went to our Hawkes bay Patchworkers meet, had a lovely day. Scored some cheap little project kits to make for the girls and some quilting patters. Weather was just lovely and sunny. Now to go home and get the washing in.

Hi everyone. Isn't it nice to have some sunny and slightly warmer weather. My daffodils are out and I am beginning to feel spring is well on the way. My Mum is off for two weeks on Monday - going to Australia to spend time with my brother. It will feel strange being here on my own but the break will be good for both of us.

Anyone going to the craft fair in Hamilton this weekend? I am going up tomorrow with a girl friend - spending all Friday at the fair and coming home Saturday. Really looking forward to it and have been saving my pennies especially. Wonder what new things I will find.
Mum has been away a week already and will be back home this time next week. I spent most of the first week just sleeping and blobbing. No sewing except to help a grand-daughter make some cushions for her bedroom.

Thanks for the invite to visit Dilli but we stayed at the show until the very end and then went back to motel exhausted. Attended quite a few workshops ... The best was free motion quilting. Bought some new tools too and can't wait to have "a play"
