Evening all ....I am back from Raumati refreshed and raring to go ...sorry Coalie, just saw your message about connecting .... Whereabouts are you? It probably wouldn't have worked as I was with a friend and she was driving and the whole purpose of the weekend was to relax and do nothing..... Believe me, I did a lot of nothing! I took hand work to do, but didn't. Every time I sat down, I fell asleep .. We did walk from Raumati to the markets at Paraparaumu and back again but very little else. I managed to read one book. And today we called into spotlight in PN ... Fabrics fell into my basket. Sigh ....

picked up me dutch CD then went on a round about shopping trip. Pleased to be back home. Just counld not make the hairdresser so will do that next week now. I shall have to put up with me nuisance length for a bit longer.

Wow no one been in since 2 o'clock.
I went for a bike ride again today, was nearly a 20 k ride, was stuffed when I got back, but then I helped my dads partner dig me a veggie garden. I am very tired so wont be late to bed tonight. I just been googling some ideas for a small Christmas gift to put in the kids Christmas cards in my sons unit as school. Last year I made skippies little trees and they were very much loved, I want to do something different this year.
Might head off to bed.

Tried making pompoms out of that thread ive got and it woked ok but would like to make smaller ones still. not sure I can. but will try. (id like them button size to put on the dolls coats as false buttons.

carole I am trying to use the craft thread that I have and thought small pompoms would be great, they turn out real soft. and I can do it while watching tv at nite. just need to try and make them smaller. I can buy plenty in the 2.00 shop. if I need them.

Went and pick up a kitchen lot of stuff today as there was a casserole dish I thought I needed heheheeeee and sure is I had a nice small square one before (7inches) that takes a full sheet of pastry. but someone borrowed it and I never got it back. Been looking for years in the op shops for one. and now I have it. PLUS 23 listings of all the stuff I will not need. What does not sell will go to the op shop. So I have been busy listing this arvo. Just waiting for Dicksons real deal to come on tv 1 then me off for me break.........

You are right dilli about it being gardening season. I just planted some lettuces and peas in my new veggie garden, hope they grow !! Never had a veggie garden before. Gosh is nearly 3 already, my boy will home soon.

And now it's nearly four! Good luck with the veges shell...you will love that. It's so nice to pick a couple of leaves for a sandwich and you'll be surprised at just how fast they grow. Guess what? Lost 2.5 kg since a month ago...and although it's slower than I would like I'm really happy that it's coming off. I also went looking for a dress...yesterday afternoon as well...and have found nothing that I would try on. Might have to make something if the op shop doesn't come up trumps. Perish the thought. I hope your day is as beautiful and warm as our one here...it's a cracker!

Hi everyone ..... Have been gardening and sewing. Have made 4 reversible aprons and started another Christmas crumb quilt. Also prepared a message for church on Sunday. Today I did my supermarket shopping on line and might do this more often as I hate grocery shopping. I also washed the car ... Too lazy to cook dinner so we had scrambled eggs on toast. Yum. Well done on weightless jumbo.

So sorry for the loss of your much loved cat. She had lived a good long life. The mourning for a pet is the same as a family member which they are.
I know how you are feeling. We lost our beautiful miniature schnauzer to cancer and he was only 7yrs. It took me a while to get over that as he died in my husband's arms (tears welling up). My thoughts are with you. Hugs.

Hello to bar...I think you look very glam in your Halloween outfit...not scary at all! We had the wee girl from next door coming over...dressed as a princess. Any excuse is better than none eh? We were pre warned so I had some goodies ready for her.
Did anyone else have fireworks going off around them last night? There were heaps here...but none close enough to upset the animals thank goodness.
