what storme we didn't get it and I was looking forward to lying in bed listening to a storme blowing outside. (I love rough weather esp lightening)

then sewing for me.

Finally the sun came out here, the ground may have puddles for days tho gosh that was a lot of rain. Dilli you may have to put the water ski's on the broom when you come haha :)

Evening all ... Flooding in Whanganui tonight. Most people are safe but about 150 have been evacuated as they live in flood prone areas. Mum and I and three grandchildren walked down to look at the river just before it got dark tonight. I live about a block away but if we got flooded, then the whole city would be in trouble. The river was flowing really fast and had hundreds of trees in it. Some actually looked like they were on little islands. Fascinating. I managed a tiny bit of sewing today ...have now finish (apart from the hand sewing) two reversible aprons. Will post photos later.

ooh Bar hope the river is settling down, we used to commercial fish there years ago. Had to go out the bar of that river every day it was often scary its a huge river. Hope everyone is having a nice day.

Have just got home from the hospital. Been there since 6pm. Mum had been feeling light headed and had some tightening so across her chest so she pushed her St John alarm. Ambulance came. They took her blood pressure .... It was 223 over 130 so they carted her off to hospital. She had numerous tests, etc and at midnight they discharged her. She has angina so now has a spray for the chest tightening a and she will go back to GP tomorrow and get that blood pressure sorted. It had come down to 139/95 when discharged. Oh well, it was something different to do instead of watching tv

LUNCH TIME everyone must be so busy........ been quite in here.
Home after me shopping spree. didn't buy to much at the galla the cakes and sweets looked so nice but that's where they stayed looking nice.
bought 2 lots of fabric and 4 reels of large cotton. so didn't do to bad.
Have a nice arvo all Jugs on for nice hot drinks.

Hello there. I hope everyone is well and happy. My sisters have just left to go home so the house is quiet. The visiting dog has gone with them and I am relaxing on the bed with the cats...I didn't sleep much last night so might have a nana nap. We went into town with a friend this morning and I bought a new cardigan for half price. I am thrilled with it...it's a dusky dee push blue. Have a great day....and bar, I hope your Mum is well.

Lovely quilt Shell.
I am making a costume for a dress up party the first Saturday in November. I am going as a Christmas present..... Wearing a red dress wth a deep green chiffon tunic over it. Then gold bows on my shoes and round the middle and on my head. Have even made a label to wear around my neck. Will post photos when it's finished.

Thanks for nice comments, it only took me 4 years to do lol...
I have a confession tho, I did some stitch in the ditch (by machine) on some of the blocks otherwise I will still be here in 10 years time trying to get it finished. I did however keep all the block pictures hand stitched.
Lovely quilt barb, love the colours.
Jumbo, things are going well here, I love my new house. I actually did some gardening today, I want to put in a small veggie garden to try and get L to eat some veggies. L is still having vomiting episodes so have asked for a referral to see another pediatrician because its just going on and on. I feel like im not being listened too. L is doing really well at school, making slow improvement's all the time. He is a lot happier in our new place. I brought myself a mountain bike so we go on bike rides now but boy do I get a very sore a**e !! all good fun tho..
Better go put jug on for a hot milo before bed..

Well, Mum seems a bit better today and is now at home. I think she has been having anxiety attacks due to her grief ... she gets lightheaded and dizzy and then worries herself into a bit of a state. All tests and checks have ruled out any underlying medical problem. Her heart is fine. So she started some grief counselling today and hopefully she will begin to feel better.
