You okay coalie? Haven't heard from you...and missed you! Muttley is home from Gisborne and very happy to be back in his comfort zone. Well...I was going to rust the rest of that fabric with mr. 12 but he went home to clean his teeth after lunch and didn't get back! He apparently turned the telly on. Talk about mind numbing...
Got housework done though. Even splashed a bit of polish around. Mmmmm it smells good.

Mmmmm eggs. Thanks Carolev. Had a very busy day yesterday .... Went shopping with mum and bought lemon tree and some summer flower plants. Then spent the afternoon tidying up the pots on the deck and getting them ready for planting. Managed to finish another quilt top though and clean the oven too and was too tired to cook dinner so had takeaways. Going for a long walk soon then must make a start on backing some of my Christmas quilts.

Hello me lovelies... yes I've had a ball! First day at show was pretty over whelming and didn't buy much, so glad we had organised ourselves to go back for a second day... by then knew some definite things I wanted and what I wanted a second look at... or third LOL. Oh boy gadgets galore! The book man was too much for me, got jostled about too much as well, so I only skimmed over a few but didn't buy... have bought 2 bigger sized rulers that I have seen on the net but wouldn't buy coz postage would have been way out there. The prairie points one is.the length of my suitcase! Got the bestest softest leather thimble ever... finally one that will fit my finger and work where I need it to! Got other little bits n bobs too but resisted the urge to buy fabric, apart from an advent calendar panel. See haven't I been "good" LOL? Having a quiet day today, might get to try my thimbles out later... wont it be nice not to have holes in me fingas! Loved the exhibitions... some amazing artists out there! Oh boy Grizz, I think you & me need to seriously think about supporting the Chch show in Feb!!! My new fav quilt shop will be there too :-)

Not a lot of "work" going on here, so what are you all up to??? Apart from rusting fabric, wheres all the creating happening???

Wow - having a 1/4 inch foot is so much easier. Am glad I could find one to fit my old machine. Block 3 finished and about to cut block 4. Next lesson not til Monday week but I am enjoying it.

Have just finished stacking a load of firewood and had a shower. So am already in my pjs. Had a long walk this morning and still managed to buy some fabrics .... Some calico, an advent calendar panel and some polar fleece for backing my first Christmas quilt top. We have a supplier who sells for $7.50 metre and its pretty good quality. Sounds like you had fun at the craft fair Vi ... I might try and get there next year.

Holy moley...what a trip holly. No wonder you bought yourself a treat. I would think that you jolly well deserved it. I heard earlier today that there had been an accident...but hadn't heard of the follow up ones. Poor you actually seeing one, and the people involved were lucky to have you there to comfort them. A day not to be forgotten for all the wrong reasons. Tomorrow will be better.
Muttley has said bugger many many times tonight. He is not happy but he will get over it. It is exciting that the shield is with a virgin shield team!

SPRING CLEANING COALIE SPRING CLEANING.
what doesnt sell in the next few weeks will go to the op shop.
took 3 bags to the recycle bin earlier today on the way to the shops.
Will go through the next lot of fabric when this lots finished. I can not sew it all so out it goes.

#2 daughter and I had a bonfire outside in the gold dredging bucket, whoohoo burnt soooo much stuff mostly old papers and old school books, no fire engines arrived thankgoodness haha we had the fire going so well there was no smoke.
