Not sure what my plans are for today ... Maybe some sewing will get done but for the moment I am just going to "craft surf" online and see what turns up.
A friend tells me that Spotlight has 30% off Christmas fabrics till Monday so we are heading to Palmerston North early tomorrow. Christmas fabrics are a weakness of mine. I love them.

Had the oven on here to for scones twi but its raining so the guy isnt turning up to do the gardening so have turned it off. Will cook them over the weekend instead. So I will be over to enjoy some of yours.

Gosh I've got the go slows! Have to have a rest after each little exertion...must be the lack of good sleep. I am going to have rice and chicken for lunch. Left overs from last night yum!

Gosh Ive forgotten how mundane basting a quilt is and silly me thought it would be nice to do it in a sunny spot in the lounge so hd to fight off two cats as well. I've just been presented with the starter batter for an 'Amish cake'. Haven't had one of these batter things for years. Has anybody made this particular one before?

I had someapricot chicken when I was in Melbourne for the first time it was so nice. Do you have a recipe for it grizz spec if its done in the slow cooker too that would be gweat........

Yes I have a recipie dilli...it comes in a pkt from mr maggi at the supermarket lol in the slow cooker part...all you do is add chicken , onion apricots, mix the pkt mix with the apricot juice plus a little more water and add...hey presto several hours later its all tastes yumi and it was too...have also tried honey pork chops, some of the casserole ones and meatballs...very nice indeed and makes life a lot easier.

thanks grizz I did look in the supermarket to see if they had packets of it but could not find them........ if it so nice they probally sold out of it.

the apricot chicken packets years ago, ( about 20 years ago ) used to have curry in it, I preferred it but then I like curry.

Here's Jumbo at rest!

Bingy (the obese grey and white kitty to the right). At his left you'll see the very top of a head. At the tippy top there's the fabulous Rion. (He was found in the engine of a car after it had driven for 20kms...he loves people who he thinks might like him...) Between the two there's a Jumbo.

Jumbo is a kitty whisperer - Bingy's usually very shy and nervy. But he's very happy!

Finished going through the boxes of fabric now and have only one left in the garage which I will use So out go all the other fabrics.
Mostly all the dance satin as no longer sewing the dresses.

It sure was coalie. I got sleepy and just listened to most of it...but it had just enough excitement in it to keep it from being another boring winning encounter.
DD invited us for dinner tonight...roasted killed a few weeks ago, home raised pig. It was delicious with lots of roasted veges...yum! Poor little pigs. Their names were straw, stick and brick! There are three more wee victims in the pens now. SIL teaches what we used to call home economics at high school and he raises a pig for the school to teach the boys about sustainability. Buy the weaner...feed with scraps...slaughter...sell some to buy another weaner with and eat the rest. The school freezer is full of pork! Aren't you glad you are not a pig? Time to go back to sleep I think. See you in the morning.

I haven't quilted it too densely as I wanted it to be snuggly... its backed with micro fleece plus I used wool batting coz I wanted a bit more puff to the quilting. I also cut out the backing fabric behind the dresdens and the flowers to help them stand out more. The centre dresden is a double one and I left the petals loose for a bit of a 3D effect. Made the bias binding a wider 1/2 inch one using the leftovers... yes Grizz I did have enough after all!!! Have also since attached a quilt label so Aunty will know its hers... can't wait to see her face! Oh boy was it fun... can't wait to do another dresden!!! Thanks for all your encouragement!!!

oooh what a clever cat he found such a cosy spot, who wouldn't want to curl up in a stash. The look on his face and his claws dug in the stash gives the look of ' this lots mine don't you dare take me outa here' haha
