Awww Twilight Thankyou :) Your auction number is wrong :( Craft shops we have here ok we have fibreflair which is lovely fabric is average $20 meter but they do have a sale shelf at $8-$10 a meter. I usually shop there just because the ladies know what they're talking about and have been known to say to me 'no i am not selling you that you dont need that - this is cheaper and much better ' etc etc The nearest spotlight is half hour away so not worth the petrol :( 10 minutes away we have Toadhall which is a huge old house packed with fabric and lots of quilts but all their fabric is $26 meter so i dont go there. Ok I am going to sew now tis so bitterly cold thankgoodness for the old coalrange, it goes 24/7 You know the best place to get fabric is trademe yay trademe.

430

ookk well i wrote it down wrong, so beat me lol 244984102 i had to go back to the auction to have a look lol just finshed my raggie quilt it will have to be a cot size a bit of a miss calculation just have to wash and dry it, wat is the size of a cot? have to find a cheaper thread to sew with im useing guterman and thats $3 wat do you use?

twilight23 - 2009-10-05 15:41:00
431

na wont beat ya this time Twilight ;) that sequins luvly are you putting it on quilts? Jules would know what size a cot one is, she makes them. Hard to get sizes right, I was making king singles to start with till I actually tried it on a single bed lol. Cotton ok a friend who sews heaps, she makes bridal stuff etc told me a few years ago an auction to buy for my daughter when we bought her the sewing machine that we now share...it is overlocking thread it works fine. Since then I have just bought bulk mixtures of cottons, all different makes and all seem ok. Hmm $3 would make it expensive. Maybe someone else in here can tell you the best to use.

had idea getting some old jeans and cutting legs off and making in to bags you then sew lace, sequins, buttons on to the bag. saw this idea at the markets in austraila when i was there last year with my sister

It's stored in large clear zip plastic bags.I don't want to use mothballs if I can help it.I pop in and have a look at your wonderful quilts. Yes I have fabric as well.

Hello Sunflower :) Sorry dont know about moths. But you could tell us about your fabric and what you make with it ;) Sorry Im a bit rushed here, just unloaded a huge trailer of firewood - took 4 of us 2 hours to unload, split and stack and its freezing ....cant seem to warm up again now.

Holly both pics seem to be the same unless its just me, what a lovely family you have, and such a cute grandy :) My kids just have their ears pierced lots and two kids have the big ones. I remember up the shops years ago with my eldest daughter who had everything on her face pierced and people were staring at her... I thought about it a second and walked closer to her, they were so rude staring like that but I thought 'you dont know her shes an amazing girl on the inside and you would be proud to know her' people are very judgemental. So now she only has her ears pierced with very pretty earings and wont let her sisters get anything pierced but their ears haha lol whos the mum here haha lol. Am thinking of Luke hope he has a good nite.
