Thank you Carole...a hot drink will be just lovely on this cold old morning. Uh oh...Dilli must have overdone the potions! Maybe she got frustrated with that slow computer and kicked it a bit too hard? jumbobon - 2013-07-16 07:12:00

Payday tomorrow... http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=615260599 ...so what colours would go with this? seagull33 - 2013-07-16 10:37:00
Well seagull...I am into bright colours so for me it would be burnt orange, lime green and something neutral as well...either a beige or a pale grey. But that is only me...others will have their own opinion so you may get as many ideas as there are people who respond! Just go with your gut...and remember that colours never show exactly how they actually are when viewed on a computer. Good luck! jumbobon - 2013-07-16 11:12:00
Hi hi...very chilly in the south today...I have Anzac biscuits in the oven as we speak...so come for afty tea if ya wish. grizzvk - 2013-07-16 11:49:00
Maybe Autumny colours would work... Was thinking maybe a "strip quilt" with a wide hedgehog border? seagull33 - 2013-07-16 12:00:00
Hi seagull I would go with the burnt orange, lime green as well but I would also wait till you get the fabric buying on line the colours tonings can be different than that of the photo I have fallen for that many times. dilligaf_dah - 2013-07-16 12:01:00
CoffeeeeeeeeEEEEEEEeeeeeee is our fwiend. <3 seagull33 - 2013-07-16 12:05:00
what they said about the fabrics Seagull, it sounds nice :) coalrange1 - 2013-07-16 13:37:00
Hey coaly what did you make your raggy quilt out of? did you putt batting in middle? grizzvk - 2013-07-16 14:00:00
some I put batting in and some I didn't, they rag better if there is a layer of flannelette / winceyette in. some are 2 layers of fabric with no batting some 3 and then there are some with 2 and batting and 3 and batting just depends how warm you want it. sorry just read your earlier message ok so its really up to you wether you put batting hehe sorry that really wasn't much help was it oopsie coalrange1 - 2013-07-16 14:15:00
Yep it was thanks...using winceyette back to back...as its only for a light napping blanket wasn't sure wether to bat it or not...just wasn't sure how cosy it would wash up like with 2 layers...hmm got some thinking to do lol...thanks tho. grizzvk - 2013-07-16 14:43:00
Well for my tuppence worth...I think you are all batty! jumbobon - 2013-07-16 15:03:00
I'm not even thinking about the backing and batting at this stage. :'c seagull33 - 2013-07-16 15:12:00

I agree... autumn and bright greens but you could throw in a blue or 2 as well. Depends how safe you want to play and what you're going to do. *whispers* have you visited Thumpacats web place? Same price for that fabric but she doesn't charge postage... so that would be a couple of bucks towards another bit of fabric ;-) More fabric is GOOD!!!! lviolets - 2013-07-16 17:44:00 |
