Quiit looks nice coalie and jumbo.
Pleased the shake wasnt too bad jumbo
We had them often when we lived in Napier too.
went to buy some eggs to do the baking but they had sold out. More coming tomorra. So baking will have to wait till tomorra now.

Fantastic quilts everyone, you have all been busy. Thank goodness you are all ok after that nasty quake. I have no night work rostered for the next 2 weeks - hopefully no one gets sick and then I wont get called in either. Not much crafting going on here, I look after an almost 3 mth old little girl 3 days a week and she keeps me busy. When she sleeps I do a bit of knitting.

My Dad is improving but he is not happy being in the hospital. He never complains so its unusual for him to say anything. I think he is just missing the familiarity of the rest home and having his own things around him.
Thanks for the reminder about checking me needle Jumbo ... Haven't done that yet but I think you could be right. I changed it not so long ago but have done heaps of sewing and quilting after using spray basting so its probably well past it's used by date.

seagull soory me is of no help would need to see the fabric first as all sahdes are so different.

im not much good with colours but all greens go with the sky, all the trees outside all match it. so really depends wether you want it to be a subtle blend or for it to stand out. what pattern are you doing ?

Well, I was going to do a basic chevron design, but then I saw a "double-hourglass" design... and a few hours wasted on google image search later can't decide what to do *first*.

Morning...afternoon and evening all! Had a good day? I have even though it included getting the worst haircut ever! Only six weeks between a good and a bad haircut though. Also got my super finalised. Talk about a laugh...there is a coffee table of fake white marble that is fixed with all sorts of pamphlets...Age Concern, Have you made a Will, various ailments afflicting the senior members of society and Hearing Association...AND the coffee table looked like a coffin! So before I left I told them to do something about the coffin table and all the stuff for old people on it!! They said they would never look at the table the same again! I left very happy after they told me how much will go into my account each fortnight...

I also got some quit time in...great day all round.

I am glad you got some quit time in Jumbo lol ... I had to look twice to make sure I was reading it right :)
My Dad not looking good so not really in the right frame of mind for being creative at the moment. However having said that I have almost finished another cat quilt for the arm of the lounge suite and have started making crumbs again. I find comfort in the sewing room and there is always something I can do even when my mind is a bit distracted.
Seagull, can you take a photo of the fabric so we can get an idea of colouring. I haven't made those patterns but I am pretty good with colours ... However, sometimes it's best to see all the choices. Do you have much in your stash?
