I bought more fabrics yesterday ... Didn't need them but couldn't leave them behind. I got them from the bargain bin ... End of rolls for $10 metre. One is the Disney cars- all red, with white and black bits and I can see how I will make this one up. The other piece is black with multi colour elongated dots in swirls and I will probably use it for either disappearing 9 or 4 patch. In the meantime, I am working on finishing some more UFOs.

| 44136 | I love your little helpers Jumbo. My two are like that as well. They follow me everywhere and like to help when I am sewing. In fact they love to check out the crumb basket on a regular basis.
I started making a crumb quilt for Maisy today ... It's to go on the arm of the armchair where she sits and moults. I would have finished it but as I am free motion quilting it, the bottom thread keeps missing and I end up with a very long top thread which irritates me. Not sure why its happening so have decided to leave it for today. It's only a small quilt (about 20 inches square) so shouldn't take long to finish once I sort out the problem. At least I am getting lots of free motion practise and I know Maisy won't be fussy.
My dad seemed a bit better today .... He is quite confused about why he is in hospital and just wants to go home to his little room at the rest home. | 44137 | Bar have you tried retreading the machine? Sometimes I find that I have problems so re thread both the top and the bottom and all is well. Unless the needle needs replacing...that's worth a try too.
So glad to hear your Dad is getting better. I can understand him wanting to go home...and the illness will make him confused too.
