Chelz - its amazing what you can pick up from op shops etc.... don't be afraid to buy cotton shirts and dresses, etc and cut them up. I made a gorgeous quilt once from curtains (without the backing) I bought at Save Mart for $8. I still have enough left to make another quilt.

Good morning happy quilters ♥ its a warm 14 deg here...tis warm for us at this time of year lol.
Bar I agree I have picked up lots of cheap fabric from places (apart from the S place, don't have one) and I love to browse for bargains on here too...is amazing what one can find....so how are we all??? feeling peckish so off to rummage in the pantry....oh roast chicken for tea here.

Me is home again now.
Had a lovely time at caroles and we got the dress finished.
Jugs just boiled for coffeezzzzzzzzzzzz
help yourself.
Making a Goulash for my daughter and the house is full of rich cooking smells............ not me cup of tea though.. so will have to think of something for me tonite.

yeah where is everyone.
was freezing cold today and very cold shopping. thankgoodness I had a thermos with me. and i bought a hot pie for lunch.
Jugs just boiled as me needs me hotty and coffee.

Finished another UFO Today. Photos tomorrow ... If I remember. My rememberer is more of a forgetterer these days.
Now am sitting up in bed eating potato chippies and drinking coffee. I'd share them but not sure we would all fit. And you would have to promise there would be no crumbs in the bed!

Well hello there everyone! I was remiss yesterday and didn't even look in because...well...ummm...I just didn't. I really didn't do a lot of anything much...it was cold and I am reading a book about old time quilters in America which is really interesting.
Bar...you are a meanie...how could you eat chappies without a crumb or two tumbling onto the sheets? And you would be surprised at how many would fit in a bed...just ask twi!
Better try and get some sleep I suppose. It evades me...

Sun Coaly! where did ya get that from? tis freezing here...freezing I say...good thing I brought new slippers yesterday.
Had a chat to the quilting expert at our sewing shop about this tablecloth quilt and now im even more confused lol she was very helpful but said big words I don't even know the meaning of! so upshot is I will take it in to her so we can nut out how to do it...she holds quilting classes and suggested it might be a good idea for me to bring this project there, hmm don't now if I have the confidence to tackle this one in public...what to do..what to do...might come out with a red face!

Grizz I think you could do the tablecloth with small scribble free motion its got so much on it already there really isn't room for anything fancy, just my thoughts but im no expert so maybe best to go to a class.
ive finished another quilt of squares to be raggie, just laying it out.....

Good morning and thanks for breakfast. Happy Birthday to yor Mum...well done her. Not long now before she gets a letter from The Queen!
We are off to see our girls in Wellington today. We were going to go yesterday but had forgotten that we had a dinner to go to. It was at the college...the culinary team is raising money to go to Auckland for the competitions and they prepared a six course meal which was truly delicious.
