techincally i am "sewing" today... came across the cross-stitch i did for Liv while i was preg with her, and the matching one that i started after she was born (unfinished). Well have managed to get it to the stage that i'm just finishing the back stitching on it, and then will frame them both, that way brother and sister will have matching framed cross-stitches... and my poor fabric stash is feeling neglected.

Lucky you Twi, the husband won't eat Macaroni cheese but if I make it put in some chopped ham and some grated cheese on top, pop it in the oven and call it cheese and ham pasta bake he loves it. Only on my death bed will he be told it actually macaroni cheese.
Weather has been odd all day here too, one minute raining, next minute sunny but really, really windy, poor dog hasn't had a walk as I am not that dedicated that I will walk in the rain. She keeps looking at me with sad eyes asking when are we going out - sorry not today.

Yes Cindy, you should always wash cotton fabric before you use it. 1. because cotton shrinks and 2. because even good quality cotton can run and would be a real b*gg*r if your lovely quilt ran when washed. I have found that sometimes I have to wash fabric 3 - 4 times before water is clear.
Do you think the allergy is caused by sewing the cotton, could be because there is often all sorts of fabric dressing in it - its not called dressing but can't think of the right name but I am sure you know what I mean.

Haven't seen Stan since you posted his pic Coalrange so he must away, probably down with Twi, I have noticed that doors of the huge shed, at the bottom of his garden, are open and it is empty and I am guessing that is where he keeps the Midnight Express. Actually now that I think about it he is away a lot so now I know where he goes, down to give lessons to Twi to drive the Twilight Express.

fran i take my dog out in all weather, i know silly me,
when i worked at spotlight, we unpacked the fabric and the smell and dust that came out of there was really awful, made you eyes burn and the dressing on the fabric made the skin on the hands go funny too
mmmmmm have done no sewing or knitting and i feel so bad.......

oh you know where private practice finished with the crazy girl taking the pregnant doctors baby, a friend showed me the next programme - the one we are still waiting for - its fantastic - im going to enjoy watching it again hehe ( she didnt show me the whole series so as to ruin it but just that one programme )
oh and greys that has to be the best, hope we dont have to wait too long for them to come back, probably be the same time as when dr who comes back - at least we will have something to watch so we can multitask hehe lol
