Spent the afternoon at the Wai Quilts display at the Gordonton Hall today. I always stand in awe of the work that is put in to those quilts. Every one different, every one stunning in it's own way.

I did take a couple of photos on my phone but they don't come up very well. I took them cos it was to remind me of a quilting pattern and also a couple of ideas for the shirt fabric one I will make in the future. Sooo, nothing worth showing sorry.

oh - forgot to say I just bought 10 rotary cutter blades. I think I don't use my cutter very well because the blades always seem blunt. Is there a technique I should be using ... I change the blades all the time and seldom notice an improvement in cutting. Sometimes it just slides through and then the next cut seems to miss or just do part of the fabric. Drives me crazy.

Bar...is your ruler smooth on the edges? The blade might be getting caught and putting nicks in it perhaps. Most annoying for you...

Just had savoury mince packed with veges...a good winter warmer with mashed spuds. Yum! Did a little bit of crafting but not a lot...it was fiddly and took a lot of time for little result. Fun though.

Good morning for real! I did get back to sleep sometime after four o'clock so at least got enough to stop me being too grumpy...maybe! There's another good frost today so hopefully more sun to follow. Have a great day...and breakfast is help yourself. You know where everything is...if you leave it till a bit later the sun rises hits my armchair head on. Yum!

Evening all. Just finished a lovely meal of mince and chilli bean soup with crusty bread. Feeling rather full now cause I went back for seconds.

Got into the sewing room today and pulled out two UFOs and turned them into cot quilts. Still need backing but at least they are now completed tops. Photos tomorrow .... Too full to be bothered getting out of my chair right now.
Love the blocks Hollie ... What pattern is that? I feel inspired all over again.

I am not sure where to post this but I have also started a new thread as "beginner quilter". I have just started quilting and trying out new things is so expensive. I was wondering if anyone has any fabric that they have no further use for that they would like to either give to me or sell cheap. It would be very much appreciated if you have.
