Noice apron holly! I have a confession. I booked into another class...and have got a lot done on it. It is called Stupendous Stitching and works on decorative stitching by hand and by machine. Good tips...worth it for the tips alone. It was a special...but skippie said she needs to be my voice of reason. She is probably right but I am learning a lot of stuffs.

Damn... haven't even started my stupendous piece yet, have a few pages of my stitch bible on the go tho. Now if Skippie tells you to slow down, you listen to her LOL! Your list of classes seems to have grown dramatically... might even match mine now LOL!

Do hope I can give this fabric away. They are in good sized lengths, one large enough to make a suit in faux suede and others cotton and plenty of length in them all. Used to sew all the time, but time has caught up with me and now is crochet or beading! I think I have around five or six lots. Sadly too much to post.

Incidentally, your thread is always at the top so you must be a lovely lot of people. Almost wish I sewed again so I could join in. Beading thread seems to have died a natural death after being very active for a while and the Brit Cat thread has also died when it was really busy over a year ago. Yours just seems to march on regardless so you must be a very busy group with lots to share.

Bonito...I'm sure it doesn't matter what you make...we would love to see what you do too. I'm sure someone would be thrilled with the fabric.
Where is everyone else tonight?
I am freezing tonight. My hottie bottle will be in bed early tonight...along with a cat that snuggles up to it as well! It's nice to have the changes in season though. I think we are so lucky to have four distinct seasons...but maaaan it's cold!
What you fullas up to?

Those aprons are gorgeous .... I think it's the same pattern I use except I gather the frill rather than pleat it. Good work everyone. Have been so busy at work the last week or so and have hardly done any sewing as my brain is overloaded. Helping sort out other people's problems can be exhausting. However, I love my job and wouldn't swap it for anything else.

Just bumping this up in hopes that somebody does want the fabric I have. Each piece is sufficient for an adult garment - some is small print maybe suitable for patchworking, I'm not sure. I'd be happy to deliver anywhere in Ch/Ch. I just want it to go to somebody who can make better use of it than I can these days.

Good morning, from a very frosty Hawkes Bay. So frosty that I have no water as the pipe is frozen from the tank to the pump. I had already water in reserve in the kettle and pots as I knew this would happen.
Brekkie is ready, tea is made come and help yourself.
Have all a great day and keep warm.

skippie1 - 2013-05-30 06:46:00
43433

Well we have water skippie but I agree...the frost is very heavy. I'm glad I left the heat pump on at 15 degrees overnight. It sure has made a difference to the morning.
Poor bar. I know just how you must feel. I was asleep on the sofa at about 7last night...came to bed at midnight and have slept since then too. It's indicative of age I reckon! The silly thing is I can sew all day in my shed and then keep sewing all night without feeling so tired. I too love the work I do...I think it must be tilting to give your all to others...
Enough pontificating! Have a great day...and thanks for breakfast skippie.

Grizz, I didn't use a pattern for the apron, I went by Hollys pic, the length was twice the arm hole length sooo did it 10" from top to bottom and arm hole 5" and across neck 4". so just get a piece of paper 10" long draw a 4 " line for top then the arm hole to 5" then 5" to bottom. its 8" wide. hope that makes sense. haha you should've seen me measuring Hollys pic LOL.

coalrange1 - 2013-05-30 16:37:00
43442

Gotcha Coaly thanks for the clear instructions...i mean that lol...does the straps just thread thru the arm hole as a long continuous lenght?

grizzvk - 2013-05-30 16:41:00
43443

whoops Grizz its 10" down from armhole not 5".
yes continuous length, have fun :)
heres Hollys pic again
