Good morning merry sunshines...how are you all today? I am sitting in bed with my ipad waiting for muttley to bring my cuppa. Don't tell him that I've had some of coalie's already or he might get mean!
Ivy...my hands complain if I do it for too long...but I am using crochet cotton so the stitches are a bit bigger. I started machine quilting but it didn't suit the quilt so I pulled it all out. UGLY stitches? I have seen some of your stuff on Craftsy and it is not ugly but sensational. I think you should show some in here please.
Grizz...what have you been doing to upset your shoulder? Only tell if it is decent though...

Had corn beef cooked in the crockpot for dinner. So tender and yummy. Served with carrots, pumpkin, onion, carrots, potato and beans in a white sauce with blue cheese melted throug. Does anyone else use sugar and vinegar on their corn beef?

Bar I don't add anything to the corned beef. I cook all the veges with it its so much easier.

Beaut bag Judy! Muttley likes his corned beef to taste like corned beef so I add nothing either...but I do drain the water twice! Probably a throwback from when it was properly corned but old habits die hard. Skippie is on her way for a cuppa so I have pinched the cake. Thanks coalie!

I just add brown sugar to the farm kill corned beef and veges (no vinegar cause then I would not be allowed it) but the shop bought corned beef only add veges and a onion.

Wow it said 6 hrs since someone came in here to talk.

I did some sewing this morning but then daughter came and we had to do a lot of running around as she got a full time job so now starting to put everything into place for it.
I am so pleased for her but I will miss her as she calls in most days now.
Still Ill see her some nites. and weekends.

Hi girls...sorry not been in... been on a bender minus the booze hehe...this jolly shoulder that was ment to be all sorted is not! only 3 weeks back at work and 2 off...not impressed at all (nor is my manager) and thanks for your kind thoughts gals, your a lovely lot all fluffly and caring...i have also been lookin in craftsy, oooh lots of little goodies in there to perk one up and free! my goodness not much is free these days so grab them with both hands lol...let me see cornbeef..i add a splosh of vinegar, 2 tablespoons of brown sugar and half a dozen whole cloves mmm smeels divine cooking. Very cool bag Judy...lucky sister indeed...chow

Oh no grizz...enough to make you grizzle eh? Isn't Craftsy fun? I usually 'buy' all the free ones...just for quilting though.
I did too much housework today...and made a huge pot of soup with needed to be used vegetables. Got out in my shed this afternoon and went through my scraps. I am cutting two inch squares by the hundred...and sewing them together as leaders and enders. It is surprising how quickly they turn into nine patches.

news update, our diver guy should be home in a couple of days, he has to use a walker but will improve back to normal it will just take time. whew whew whew :)

SORRY COalie just read back some of the thread I missed
About the bulk listings of the cottons. This time round it said 1000 of threads but no yarn so they must have taken out all the yarn for themselves and just relisted the cottons. Me knows who won the auction this time and me getting some nice thread/cottons for sewing......... in a few weeks. can not wait as there were some nice colours listed well in the photos anyways.

I have chuckled a bit at the responses to my corn beef question cause what I meant was does anyone else serve their cooked corn beef with sugar and vinegar on the side. I don't use it in the cooking at all. But when I put it on the plate, I put a tbsp sugar and then drizzle vinegar over the sugar until its wet. Delicious. But not many people do this .... Might be a family thing passed down through my fathers family

havent been on here for a while i went to ED on friday night with a high temp of 38.6 and cold shivers then hot and sweaty, had a ecg xray bloods done and blood cultures done, have intervenus anitbiotics and by 11 oclock was allowed to go home my temp had gone done to 36,1, had no internet for most of saturday and then on sunday morning at 8/30 got a phone call from the doc at ED that there was bacteria in one of my picc lines and could i please come back in, so i had more blood and cultures done and they wanted me to stay the night, i was in the orthapedic ward because the medical ward was fill, as usual the food was gross the bed was hard and lumpy, have to go back at 9 in the morning for more botics and talk to a picc line nurse and see what the cultures have produced and they may have to take my picc line out they did try and get the candula in my hands but my veins are still no good. so they put one in my elbow joint most uncomfertable, i also have an appointment with the gyneacologist at 11 which is also in the hospital
so thats my drama for the week
theres been lots of chatting in here have read it all :)

Oh love us twi...talk about complications caused by the cure! I hope it all settles really quickly for you.
You guys...if you could see the size of my scrap bin you would understand why I need to cut it and use it. It is one of those big round plastic bins with handles on each side of the top...and it is overfilled with scraps. Every time I make something I get more scraps...so it is ongoing!

yay happy happy here my scrap bin is only half the size oooh that's soooo good whew now I don't feel quite so bad using a jelly roll on 1/2 the quilt cause I got fed up cutting the scraps hahaha :)))))) I was only making the quilt to use up the scraps LOL
