Chuck some corks in the bed when you go...that's supposed to help. But it might help ,more if you drink what the corks were holding inside the bottles first!
I've been stitching all night long and now my fingers are sore.
Ivy...you can hide but you can't run! I think I may have hunted you down. Pam.

jumbobon - 2013-05-08 21:48:00

LOL I did try to make it easy for you! Did you see my list of classes is bigger than yours? Lots of FMQ classes... altho I have resisted the urge to sign up for Leah's latest one... so far. Wee money saving hint for you Jumbo, if you're interested in a class, always check to see if they have their own website as when they do, they sometimes offer their classes for 50% off if you buy via their website. I really do need to knuckle down and get back to my FMQ lessons... and the dreaded ooops I mean lovely feathers. Coalie you'll have to find a way to show us yours!!!
Ha ha I see I'm not the only one to buy batting from Spotlight when they have their $40 off... I just haven't made it there yet... sssshhhh don't tell Grizz ;-)

lviolets - 2013-05-08 22:54:00
42980

Good morning merry sunshines. Muttley has just delivered my drink in bed...jump in and you'll get one too.
I have quite a list of classes but haven't done many of them yet. The good thing is that they are always there...I haven't paid full price for any of them...and usually take the free ones pronto!
More stitching for me today. So much to do...so little time...
Psssst. Grizz....ask ivy if she is going to spotlight...

jumbobon - 2013-05-09 06:56:00
42981

Morning ALL
Whats this 40 of at spotlight??????
I went yesta day and saw nawt like that
Need to go and get milk as I have none before daughter comes ( I dont use milk only in baking)
Have a nice day all.

dilligaf_dah - 2013-05-09 08:11:00
42982

Dilli there was a letter that came from spotlight with a coupon...if you spent $100 you got $40 off. You have to have a card and present it before the discount works...really worthwhile...especially when there was 30% off wool batting...

42990

Oh Coalie you've been holding out on us!!! Still searching for the mess... blowed if I can find it... spied some pretty feathers tho! Look at you go girl! Looooove it!

Shout all you like, Grizz is away to work, aaaawww pooor wee Grizz. Ooops forgot to tell you Grizz, I have managed a teeny tiny bit of quilting... made some coasters for Mum for Mums Day. Not as pretty as her original set but all I had left of the fabric were 2 different small sizes of triangles that were off cuts from her trivets. Ma will be happy now tho, well come Sunday... she will have enough for more visitors LOL. These are the latest...
http://images.trademe.co.nz/photoserver/full/266743683.jpg
and these are the originals... the large trivet was my first ever completed quilting project... a year ago! Twas my first attempt at binding and all!
http://images.trademe.co.nz/photoserver/full/266743737.jpg

Right off to set up the machine for FMQ... I have some catching up to do and you lot are getting me motivated, thanks heaps!

42991

Jumbo, yep you definitely found me ;-) Hope you have your settings set so you get an email when somebody comments on your projects or replies to you??? Can be fun! Have you checked out what classes I'm in? If you click on my name from my comments to you, it will take you to my "home" page and on that is the list of classes I'm in. Can't wait to see more on your projects page! Enjoy!

lviolets - 2013-05-09 16:04:00
42992

Ooooh nearly forgot... you're all talking about the wool batting... I've not used it yet but Cindy Needham uses an extra wool layer (Hobbs can be split) on top of her usual batting to provide more puff. I don't think our Spotlight one can be split like hers... has anyone tried it? Also, is it a good weight for quilts? I'm thinking of using it on my nieces one but not sure if it will have enough body? I've been using cotton or bamboo. I await your comments, oh wise ones.

Ivy I think your mum is very lucky to be getting such a pretty hand made gift. Your work is just so neat and tidy...and the binding is perfecto! I have just finished my second project in my Laura Wasilowski course. I had to outline stitch the stems because there wasn't enough contrast between the greens. Here it is...

http://images.trademe.co.nz/photoserver/full/266751522.jpg

Hope it's there...I am getting used to uploading photos now! Better go and feed these braying donkey plonks...I think they are hungry.
