talked to twi on phone she is great, happy and all good. she is walking around a lot which she has been told to do and said the view from her room is amazing, she has no internet on her phone, sad cause she couldve been in here and no tv :( she should be home Thursday.

Good to hear that twi is doing so well. She sure has courage. It will be good to know when she is back at home with her Mum again. Went out stitching tonight and bought some more fabric...like I need it! But the colours were just too inviting!
Have had a goo dish day too...made six display cloths for sil, made up three kit set bookshelves to replace the ironing board in my shed. I will put a padded board on top...and now have storage beneath, mowed the lawns and had a nana nap. Almost ready for bed again now. See you laterer.

My brother is staying at present so not doing much sewing or going online. He has been really unwell with crippling migraines for years and they are getting worse. Been scanned for brain tumour but nothing showing and doctors seem unable to help him. He is here to give his wife a rest. These migraines make him appear drunk ....he slurs his words, stumbles when walking and his whole body shakes. He becomes almost blind and its quite common for him to go walkabout .....stumbling around the streets. He is ok at the moment ...has a thumping headache (he is seldom without one) but its not a migraine yet so he is functioning reasonably well. I can usually tell when he is going to get one because he will become extremely animated a few hours before and talk almost non stop.

Good morning all,we had a drop of rain overnight. It's a help yourself brekkie today. I was rather late in bed, was watching the abdication of Queen Beatrix and the signing over to the new King Willem Alexander. The party is still going in the Netherlands.
Andre Rieu is on at the mo, has Marusia from Australia singing its Time to Say Goodbye to the now Princess Beatrix, very moving.
Twi have a good and safe trip home and that you feel better day after day.

Moooorning...a lot cooler today but must expect it at this time of the year eh? Thanks for breakfast skippie...SOMEONE has been into my kitchen while I wasn't looking and has left a big old mess. Can't begin to think who it might have been! I had a great sleep last night so going to have a blast in my shed...with more space than yesterday after the reorganisation.
Hopefully wee is moving a bit more easily today. I can't believe she will be going home tomorrow.

Jumbo you gave me an idea talking about kitset bookshelves ....sooo today I have emptied the understairs cupboard and built shelves around the walls with a couple of bookshelves and the rest in timber and bricks. tis looking ok even if I do say so myself hehe. I did have help Daisy and Chockie came and they helped saw the timber and sort the bricks, Chockie calls it a library tis quite a lot smaller than the one he went to yesterday but a library it will be named LOL.
Bet Twi and Holly are having fun, Dilli Twi told me she has only seen female docs :(((((((

Coallie, I also used those little bookshelves as a table base, placed a board on top, which I covered with Black and White sticky floor tiles, which of course is now my cutting table.

Yay for twi. I just knew she would bounce back like that because her attitude has been so buoyant all along. Good on her.
I've had a shed day...and I have loved it. I enrolled in a Craftsy class with Laura Wasilowski on making fused collages...and it is so much fun. I have started the hand stitching on it but thought I'd best do some more work on my houses so now have four of the seven rows attached. A really really good day.
I have probably told you about the Craftsy classes before but will bang on a bit more because they are such good value. Once you have enrolled in a class your course in available on your computer immediately. There is a series of lessons that take you work through and the course is forever at your disposal...no time limits!
Good on you coalie...storage can be a regular pain and its nice to have created extra.

hello everyone. Good to hear you might be going home Twi... hope you get spoiled and waited on for days.
I am at work having a cuppa .... jugs hot for those wanting to share.
Havent been able to sew for nearly a week now and I am beginning to get withdrawal. Might manage an hour this afternoon if I am lucky otherwise it will probably be Sunday afternoon before I can get near the sewing room. I think I will need a potion or two to get through :)
