Good morning all, I was awake at 5 with The Dude who has gone to Gizzie. So cuppa and toast came with me while I sat in bed and watched a video on Longarm stitching. Now it's time to get up and go to work.
Jumbo, you have some ironing to do, all you others have a great day,
Twi, any news re your op?
Dilli, do have a nana nap later, you might need it.

Sorry coalie...was not ignoring you...I still have loads of my hand dyes and I love using them. I'm probably a bit shy about selling stuff. Would rather give away...but will continue to use them myself. I have one top nearly done. It is with wonky stars and I really should get my a into g and finish it. I have another one that is well on the way. The blocks are nearly all done and it is a square in a square. Should be nice finished.

I had a slice of lasagne for lunch...more here for anyone who wants it. My shed is now looking a bit tidier...have cleaned and vacuumed. There will probably be another thunderstorm now!
Cat pole...I am jumbobon because my grandies call me jumbo and Bon is a shortened version of my name...and it was coco and not fergus that I thought Tabitha looks like!

Just popping in briefly .... Been sorting my craft room - so much fun. Finding all sorts of things I had forgotten I had. Anyway, I have found some Barbie patterns, one is McCalls 4064 and some others that I have downloaded as free patterns in a past life. They are no good to me now .... Will never use them. Does anyone want them. Free to a good home. Will hold on to them until the weekend but then they will be dumped. I might list the mcCalls pattern but not the others.

Bought this rack from Hospice for $2 ... Perfect for rulers

http://images.trademe.co.nz/photoserver/full/262935218.jpg
Still to fill the baskets with fabric ... That's the next task

http://images.trademe.co.nz/photoserver/full/262935300.jpg
Ribbons now hanging nicely ... Have heaps more to roll and hang

http://images.trademe.co.nz/photoserver/full/262935200.jpg
Maisy supervising from the comfort of my crumb basket.

Lucky Maisie having a cosy basket to oversee from. My two are so funny...when I go out to my shed so do they and when I come back inside they follow. But every time we walk up the path we get ambushed from the garden. It used to be just Brooke that did it but Tabitha does it now too! It's really funny.
Craft room cleaning must be the in thing today...I have cleaned mine too...and finished a twenty inch cushion cover for dd. now I have to buy an inner for it. I don't have one that fits.

Do any of you use something to keep your quilting rulers from slipping? If so, what and where would I find some?

barbrose - 2013-04-10 20:19:00
42370

Thank you coalie. Much appreciated.

42373

Bar, I have little dots under my rulers that feel like very fine sandpaper. I do think your room looks very tidy.

skippie1 - 2013-04-10 22:17:00
42374

Ifound the ruler thingie very annoying it kept moving on me. I have no energy(power) in my left arm so thats probally why. I gave up trying to use it and went back to just pins as guide lines and the old sissors.

dilligaf_dah - 2013-04-10 22:49:00
42375

Thanks for the snupper coalie Nice having a lovely choice.
Jugs just boiled here so time for me nite cap
SO its nite from me
sweet dreamzzzZZZZzzzzz

dilligaf_dah - 2013-04-10 22:50:00
42376

Skippie what sort of dots and where did you get them? Mind you, if I keep eating those snuppers, I will be weighty enough all by myself. I just gained 5 kgs drooling over them :)
The room looks tidy because I spent most of the day working on it. Not sure that it will still look like that next week. I am not a tidy crafter ....

Good morning from a chilly round the willy Hawkes Bay. What a shock to the system these mornings are...but nice at the same time. I love the colours on the hills with the sun rising...fantabulicious.
Ready for breakfast? Kettle is hot and toast is just about there too so help yourself.
Thought of you yesterday bar. Our little neighbour visited. She is four and is learning ballet. She showed me pretty toes and ugly toes...and skipping with very high knees. I made clumpy, shaky noises when it was my turn!
Have a great day today. No work for me until tomorrow so in my shed I will go.

jumbobon - 2013-04-11 06:47:00
42378

Thanks yduj ... No that looks too awkward. I have been watching on line tutorials and they mention sandpaper dots or invisi grip but can't find where to buy it locally or how much

Have jumpy legs tonight .... Anyone else get them? Actually not jumpy .... Just very restless. Drives me batty

barbrose - 2013-04-11 19:22:00
42391

Yeeees! I get them and they drive me nutcase...which explains why I am like I am! Take magnesium. You can get it from health shops in either tablet or dropper form and it is magical. Do try it!!!

jumbobon - 2013-04-11 19:37:00
42392

I get them mainly when I am very tired Jumbo ... Have had them all my life. My mum has them too. Magnesium hasn't helped me in the past. But will try again. Nothing helps mum but I think hers has escalated from restless legs to major leg spasms. It's awful ... She is on strong medication now but she gets them every night.

Also a magnetic underlay...our kids gave us one once as a joint ( teeheehee) birthday present and that has also been good for it.I am all tired now. Why? Dunno. Wha' chew doon?

Hi Barbrose, I have just ripped Invisgrip off ALL my rulers... useless stuff! I have replaced it with TrueGrips... got mine from Aussie. Theres only 15 in a pack but I have cut them in half and also used the surrounding bits as well.

Oh and if anybody is looking for an ergonomic rotary cutter... been using my Martelli ErgoCutter for the last month, cutting curves and all... man what a dream it is! Great for sore mitts!

*whispers* anybody combing thru the Hancocks site... ooooh 20% off but I'm being good!

lviolets - 2013-04-11 21:06:00

nope not even going into Hancocks site nope I wont I wont ..... haha ok I will try not to ;)
Vi what does 'being very good' mean ? not looking or only buying 1/2 of what you really want haha :)
