The 'veges' are magnets to keep my chart on a metal board lol
No i didnt make them, sorry.
I do a little drawing and knitting but my main interest is cross stitch.
Thanks for asking

After i took that photo Fergie moved so he was covering my whole chart, obviously i wasnt paying him enough attention

He is a SPCA rescue cat.
Cant believe that any body would give him up. He does meows a fair bit, if he cant find me or wants attention he goes into the bathroom an meows, it echos in there he has found.
Hes a tad chubby now so covering the whole chart wasn't a hard thing to do!!
Here he is lying on my 8yr olds lap, yes Fergie went to sleep like that too.

lovely cats and the cat pole is fantastic. one of my brother in laws has a cat that travels in the car all the time its a convertible and when they arrive home the cat stands on the garage door opener, watches the door open considers hes done his job and disappears until the car comes out the next morning. he eats at his owners work.

Helloooooo! I have had a busy day at work that ended with having a cuppa with skippie and a friend who has been living in Fiji for a couple of years. It was super good finish to the day...and then home to cook tea. Chicken with gravy and veges...it were gooooood. No stitching tonight so far. Might do a bit laterer on but have other things I need to do like gat ready for another day at work tomorrow. Everybody happy?

Look what happened while I was writing! They all pushed in they did! Catpole...you will never be able to ring the death knoll on this here thread. Coalie keeps it going...and besides that some of us met each other last year at Easter. Good strong bonds that are impossible to break! BTW I love your cross stitch. It seems to me a very reasonable price for such a big job.
We got two cats from the SPCA last year and they are just the best...real characters! I'll try to post a video one of the GS's took of me brushing one of them a while back. A bit like your fergus.

jumbobon... ( how did you come up with that name?!), good to hear i wont kill this thread off. It happens all the time else where for me. getting paranoid here.
Cool that some of you met..
I think SPCA cats are the best as they sometimes have more love to give.
Coco was a stray we got given a couple of years ago. He is in love with the dog next door
I took this pic of him with Jess today

Good morning lovelies...I have had breakfast but once again there is plenty left for the rest of you so come and help yourself. When you have finished your breakfast the iron is in the laundry and the pile to be ironed can't be missed! Just leave it folded on the bed when it's done and I'll put it away after school.

Yes coalie...Guillaume does need shades to hide the lust behind the eyes! Honestly...he almost needed restraining....
Have a wonderful day you lot...and make it productive okay?

Oops pushed post too soon ...... I was going to tell you about the splurge party I went to last night. My 4 daughters all live in Wanganui and every 6 weeks or so, we get together to have what we call a splurge party. No children and no husbands. It was the brainwave of daughter number 3. They are all struggling as young families do and never had any money just to splurge on themselves. So on splurge night, we each take $20 and at the end of the night someone gets drawn to take the $100 home and spend it on themselves. No bills or groceries or children. Once you have been drawn, you don't get another chance until everyone has had. Turn, then it starts all over again. We have been doing it for two years now. Fantastic fun. The winner gets to host the next party. When it's at my house we usually do some craft. But it's great hearing the girls laugh and share stories and sometimes we have quite serious discussions about all sorts of things. I love it and it makes me proud to see my girls enjoying each other. Baby Esther came last night and she spent the evening sleeping in various arms. I must say, she slept the longest with me and it was only cause my arms went numb that I had to pass her on.

barbrose - 2013-04-09 08:49:00
42333

Morning all, thanks for the brekkie Jumbo, but I also pass on the ironing, as you know only Quilt fabric gets ironed in this house. Clothes I always check the labels re laundering and ironing, easy care is my motto.
Barb, what a good idea having a splurge party, my second daughters lives to far away to be able to do that, sadly.
Stitching to be done today for clients. Have all a great day.

skippie1 - 2013-04-09 09:03:00

Giddy...we have thunder lightning and torrential rain here. It started at three o clock just as the kids were leaving. I had some jobs to do before I got home but when I did our poor little black cat was cringing with wide eyes...looking out the door...absolutely terrified! She is still not happy even with cuddles and soothing words, poor darling.
Had a great day at school today. I really do love it even though I sometimes don't feel like going when I first wake up. The kids are great really. They always do the best they can and we try to have a lot of fun.
I'm off stitching tonight. I haven't been for the last three weeks so I'm looking forward to it.
