It was super good finish to the day...and then home to cook tea. Chicken with gravy and veges...it were gooooood. No stitching tonight so far. My 4 daughters all live in Wanganui and every 6 weeks or so, we get together to have what we call a splurge party. No children and no husbands. It was the brainwave of daughter number 3. They are all struggling as young families do and never had any money just to splurge on themselves. So on splurge night, we each take $20 and at the end of the night someone gets drawn to take the $100 home and spend it on themselves. No bills or groceries or children. Once you have been drawn, you don't get another chance until everyone has had. Turn, then it starts all over again. We have been doing it for two years now. Fantastic fun. The winner gets to host the next party. When it's at my house we usually do some craft. But it's great hearing the girls laugh and share stories and sometimes we have quite serious discussions about all sorts of things. I love it and it makes me proud to see my girls enjoying each other. Baby Esther came last night and she spent the evening sleeping in various arms.
