Going into town today. Big deals on at spotlight...glasses need adjusting so they stop biting the bridge of my nose...dd wants to look at luggage in briscoes...lunch at a posh restaurant down the road...must look for ladylike manners...dunno where they wented...make some more plum chutney because the lot I made yesterday has been baggied by the Wellington girls...make a cushion using a lorax piece for dd...and start binding SCBU quilts! ok soooo the market, I got some lovely lace curtains, 2 big ones for $6 will use them on the bags. and 3 of those carnival windmill thingies for the grandies. went in op shop and their crochet doilies were $4 and $8 !!!! they have always been $1 - $3 didn't get any of them.
friend had a stall there selling quilts aprons etc, sent her to look at the other stalls and I took over her one but I didn't sell anything, oh dear :(

I went to Spotlight, straighten the Halo, didn't buy anything. Had to get fabric for my Carterton friend, but could not be found.But I did see a other thread person with a trolly load of stuff. You might have to check on her.

I would love to go to Spotlight today but hubby is not well and taking Mr 13 is not an option lol! and anyway it's not like I neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed anything. Well I do, but it is boring old waterproof lnylon to make aprons for some little ones at Mr 13's school Maybe I will get there on Monday.

I didnt get to spot lite at all the busses run only once an hr on the weekends and its such a long wait for the next bus. And I didnt need anything urgently. Have enuff to keep me going this year and maybe next year. SO I was weally good and went to the supermarket to grandie a mud cake thats what he asked for for easter. so mud cake hell get heheheheheeeeee............ Me baking has started pav in the oven sponge will go in next then the caramel slice. And that will be me done for the day..
Me will have scrambled eggs for dinner to use upp the yolks.
So snupper will be at me place tonite.

You cheeky baggages you! We have been to the tiddly posh restaurant and had the most deeeeeelicious meal ever. I am filled to the tippy tippy top and will not be able to eat another thing today. I'm happily content. Yes...I did go to spotlight and yes I did break my pledge and yes I am ashamed of myself but the bargains were too good to pass up. They even had 40% off clearance stock so prices were good. I will be forgiven.

Skippie am not sure what I want for a quilting machine ... Something portable if its being shared by two of us and easy to use. Oh, if only I had $20000 to spare. I will google your one and then ask questions :)

I have a Janome mastercraft sewing machine with a 12 in throat. I have just been watching some You Tube videos with quilters .... I could easily spend the evening watching these.

didnt turn out as well as other days today so stopped at the slice.
I couldnt even get the pastry right today......never had a problem before.
oh well still tastes alright but may go rock hard in the fridge as I usually make a double lot and make some other stuff a few days later. So will have to see what happens.
Pav is Ok so is the caramel slice.

I was "naughty" today and didn't go to church....but I did go to my sewing room and make a start on a strip quilt. I got lost on you tube last night and spent half the night watching tutorials. Have you seen the jelly roll race? I don't have jelly rolls but have heaps of fabric so spent the morning cutting into 2 1/2 in strips. Have enough for two quilts now. Slightly torn ... Do I sew them into tops now or make some more aprons? According to the tutorial, you can make a top in 40 mins so maybe I can do both

I haven't been for hmm maybe getting on to 6 years now, I have agoraphobia ( I think I spelt it right, its not the scared of spiders one ) anyways I don't go far from home and when I do I don't stay long. Tis all good I have some great friends and family are always here, not to mention all you lubberly lot :)))))))

Gorgeous cushion. I just finished three boys aprons and delivered them. Forgot to take photos so will have to wait till my daughters send some through. One has ninja turtles , another one has Disney cars and the third has Ben 10.
Now to start stripping!

Hello again drommy and skippie. Wee...there are sharp bits where there should be curves, gaps, big loops and small loops that should all be the same size! Perfection is not part of my quilting but the wobbles get hidden in the busy pattern! Dd doesn't mind though....

Your cushion is gorgeous. As for the quilting WOW. I haven't tried that sort of quilting(can't remember what it is called) as I am just a beginner. Love it.
