I've got a big day, y'see, I told him. Need my sleep, I said. So I went back to sleep, trying to ignore the cats scrabbling at the door desperate to get back in. Got a little bit of sleep before i woke up WITH THE MOUSE PERCHED ON MY SIDE. It had wantonly ignored my attempt to negotiate territory and then ran about my bed. I decided to sleep in the lounge and abandoned the mouse to the cats. He's now an ex-mouse. He could have hidden, so I didn't technically kill him, right?
