dilligaf_dah - 2013-03-22 19:40:00

Snupper? I've only just had a burger for tea...and not home made either! I might go and look in my shed. I have a confession skippie. I had a big big nana nap.

Jumbo you must have needed it.
Dilli what side tracked you from stitching.
Snupper, I have only just finished dinner, if that's what I can call it. Grandies are here tonight and they realllllllly would like pizza for T. Well it made it easy for me and pizza they got.
Yippee I finished my scrappy Japanese quilt, and I have to fezz up. Received a book that I ordered a few weeks back, its mostly on Red and White Quilts, really nice book. But but also received my red Kaffe Fassett fabric stash today from Hancocks, mind you all sale fabrics, so that was allowed. SO NOW, NO more fabric buying, I have to repeat it every day to myself otherwise I might get weak and buy more.

skippie I had a pick up and delivery to do today and the pick up took hours of me time. the flamin bus only went once an hour. Just missed it going and had to wait 55 min for the return one also so wasted 3 hours.. So got home late. grrrrrrrrrr

Holly, that one is mine. I had made the same quilt before, but no borders on that one, that quilt went to a good cause. loved the rich colours so made one for ourselves. Love it its 80 inches square, has a red frame round the patches, then a 5 inch dark blue border .

Hi Skippie - love the quilt. Is it the dissapearing 9 patch? I want to make a black, white and red patterned fabric one. Did you use up all your scraps?

ffloss - 2013-03-22 22:28:00

Oh dear Twi, nothing worse then being cod. As all you can think about is how to try and keep warm and not shiver. I do believe PETA ad some voice training, but I have not heard her sing.

Lovely quilt Skippie ..is that a disappearing nine patch? I have been AWOL from the MB today (or should I say yesterday) .. Been finishing off a quilt and starting another project. My wee grandie who was so sick this week is turning 5 next Thursday and her dad tells me she would love an apron as she always helps her mum with baking. So I have bought a pattern which can be used for children, adults and dolls and is reversible. It's very cute. I could have made one without a pattern but wanted something just a bit special. Found three lovely coordinating fabrics in my stash and cut it out. Sewing will commence tomorrow morning. I think dolly will get a matching one too.

Thanks for snupper Coallie, we decided no more stitching tonight, instead we hope to make it an early morning.
I broke my own pledge and bought some fabric today from Spotlight. Was a bargain not to be missed, beautiful deep red Japanese print fabric, was priced down to $8. Per meter then I got another 30% of that, which made it $5.60 pm, yep so I bought the 5.3 m, will make a great quilt backing.
