wow 4 boys Jumbo that's fun, #1 daughter and grandies caught the bus here, her hubby had the car, grandies thought it was all very exciting and the bus driver saw their excitement and got them to jump off the last step when they got off, he gave them a big clap for doing well.

well lovely ladies tis not all that good news i have 2 to 5 years depending on my responce to the chemo, because the caner is on the lining of my lungs im basicly at stage 4, the chemo starts next week here in rotorua not sure what day yet will get a call from the hospital they will tell me how long i need the chemo for then surgery with a full hystertomy and all other tumers removed then more chemo,the oncologist (sorry shes a lady ) is lovely and she comes over to rotorua twice a month
so a lots to thing about and im going to make a bucket list daughter thinks i should go tandom sky diving and go snorkelling (like hell i will i hate water and heights LOL )

Right. The action plan is in place...and it sounds as though it is pronto so that's a good start. C'mon you girls...now we all have to get in behind our twi and make this ride she's on as exciting and comfortable for her as we can. It sounds as though her family is taking a positive approach...lets help them! Twi, in about October of last year my brother in law was told he wouldn't see Christmas. He has heart failure...but muttley and I had lunch at a cafe with him the other day. He is defying the odds and you need to get some of that teenage behaviour back and start defying too! I bet your mum can remember when you were good at it...you show em girl! xxx

Hugs to you and all your family Twi. I am with jumbo, lets attack this diagnosis with defiance and attitude! Great idea the bucket list, no way would I bungy jump or sky dive either! Lets hope you get your call from hospital tomorrow with a treatment date so we can all start helping you kicking those tumours in the butt!

Hi Coalrange, I had always wanted to do it even when I was young but as My husband (at the time) had passed away my Mum said no way I do not want to look after your kids lol. Anyway long story short my children shouted me the jump for my 60 birthday ........... it was fabulous. This year we shouted our Granddaughter for her 21st ,she is still walking on air . It is just so amazing floating back to earth.

Yes Dilli....I love Project Runway. It's really good, I agree.
I've been calligraphying. That's a word now even if it wasn't before. A chef from Napier has taken over the lease of the restaurant down the road...and sil knows him well, and has been helping him set up. He offered my services to write labels for his 45 medals that will go in a display cabinet...all done now. It's the official opening tomorrow and he wants them ready for that...I think we are going to hang them in the cabinet tomorrow morning. Now onto the next tasks waiting in line...quilting and sewing ones so much more exciting.

Twi i was sorry to read your news and to be honest i dont know what to say to some one i have never meet who is going thru a hard time at the moment. Reading your news brought back alot of memories of when my mum was diagnosed with cancer i know what your children are going thru and yourself as do the others on here. Im with them in saying we are all there with you thru this and keeping positive is a good start.
Still quite warm here tonight, been too hot to sew and stitch. Had to go buy new school shoes for L today for next week, could only get ones with laces so im going to have to teach him to tie them, that will a mission and a half it could take a while.
I too watch project runway and enjoy seeing what they come up with, some are very talented..
