| 3951 | I reckon!! Dentists are right up there with earthquakes and icy mornings. Haha. Last day of the school holidays today and our programme is going to the movies so I get to finish at lunch time. Have a few errands on the way home then might find a sunny spot and do some knitting. | 3953 | Well I went to the dentist and then decided to go without any needles. It hurt like hell but at lest I did not go thru the numbing process and my throat feels great. Whoppee. I just thought of other things plus she had to do it manually without that darn drill thing. I have to get up at 5 in the morning and dash up to Babysit Little K. My daughter is leaving home at 6. Just felt like sleeping in my own bed tonight. You know how it is. I have knitted that wool with the pompoms. It was fun. One of my granddaughters wanted a scarf in it. Thought the cold weather throughout the country over the past week would have increased my sales on TM but maybe now that the shops are clearing out winter stuff and starting to bring in their spring clothes people are moving to the next season. | 3956 | You said it grizzly. It does seem like the year has just flown by. I cannot believe it is nearly August. The birthdays are upon us thick and fast. 2 this week, 3 next week. That was a fast job on the blanket girl. I rang smartgirl and had a great old chit chat with her. It was lovely to catch up. Saw my great grandson and his Dad yesterday. It was so great to see him running around being chased by his 2 yr old Uncle. Lol. Poor little J has had a bad time of it. He had a high fever for 2 days. Seems on the mend now. It hit me all over again about other peoples situations. I was wondering recently why the temporary housing villages aren't being utilised but after meeting this lovely lady yesterday I realised there is no way you could move there with pets, for example. Little K at the beach is sick, high temps,etc so he may have it as well. His older sister is sick and she never gets sick. That is the mad sports fanatic.His eldest brother has been to the gp in Hamilton twice and he is on antibiotics and steroids because he is having trouble breathing. When will it all end. So nice to get some summery shades. Then we went to buy her a corset for a fancy dress party she is off to tonight. What a hair raising experience that was. My feet were throbbing by the time we had finished. Never again. We did have a nice lunch though, just the two of us. Wee Jon is very sick in Wellington. Had his blood tests today. My great new 600 cell phone is not working properly so I cannot get in touch with them. I have sent them an email. If little J is no good when they get back they have to take him to Starship. Auckland Health rang her this morning so her sister relaid to me. They could not believe the lack of care he received from Lower Hutt hospital. Tests showed no measles but Auckland Health said they should have kept him in and tested him further. Anyway they should be here tomorrow. | 3987 | J is in Starship. He stopped feeding when he saw me and held his little hands out for a cuddle. Then he hugged me and I swear I thought my heart would burst. He is so sick. They are running more tests but told us to keep Kawasaki's Desease at the back of our minds, There is no test for it but because he has a lot of the symptoms they may start treatment because he has had a fever for too long. If it is Kawasaki's desease there is a chance of heart damage if they do not start treatment. I hope and pray they are right and start treatment. Children can recover very quickly once treatment is started. I feel so powerless and my daughter is naturally a wreck. She is staying with him. She only gets to go to the toilet when he is napping because he cries when he cannot see her. Little M has been a gem and is fast asleep. My oldest grandson is in Waikato hospital with Pneumonia and his Mum is as sick as a dog with that awful virus. Hopefully tomorrow there will be better news. makerealbany - 2011-08-10 22:36:00 |

I can remember saying last winter I could not wait for it to end but this winter has been much worse. I went to the doctor on Monday and I have cellulitis in my right leg, and to make matters worse when we had a power cut I spilt candle wax on it and opened the skin so now I have an infection in it. | 3994 | Hi everyone. Well they tested J today for everything they can think of. He had a Lumber punch this morning and they start treatment for Kawasakis desease tonight. That little boy fought them every inch of the way . He has a line in one hand and they had plasters over the other hand and he was trying to rip the plasters off with his lovely new teeth. Lol. They say he is a real little scraper. Thank goodness. Kawasakis desease is prevalent amongst Asian children but any ethnicity can get it. Usually affects very young children. If he has it no idea how but it attacks the immune system. My daughter is praying there will be an improvement tomorrow. So are we all. He still trys to smile now and then but he is no longer chubby. | 4000 | Our baby is being treated for Kawasakis but he is no better. Vomited all night and he is getting weaker by the day. My daughter has a virus now. She stays there by J's side every minute she can. I am going up this morning so she can go to the Doc. My SIL has a virus or the flu and no doubt gave it to her. These bloody men who think they are tough and do not need medical attention until they have infected their families and half the community are so irresponsible. I could wring his neck and if he was not so sick I would!!!!!!! He is due to fly out on Tuesday. I have to start moving now. Have to feed M. Drop her at my son's and then rush to the hospital.
