Evening all. Popped in to check the chat. I have spent most of the day working on the bookshelf quilt and I am pleased to say it is now all bound on three sides with just the top to do but that's waiting for a hanging sleeve to be added first. I have sore finger tips from hand sewing the binding on. I am sore but so pleased with the result.

Good night all . . we have Anniversary Day holiday tomorrow.

no sewing will be done here today as i have to child sit, i dont mind its some pocket money for me to get fabric for my black white and yellow quilt.
I will take my crochet and my cross stitch to keep me busy.
Better go get showered as kids will be here soon.

Jumbo on parade ma'am. Betterer late than never. My halo is glowing...I have done some ironing, used the sucky thing to clean the floors, emptied out and tidied both his and hers clothes cupboards and cleaned all the benches! Man I even surprised myself!
Judy...we need a picture of the bookcase pretty please? I am going to make another cushion this morning. Muttley loves them and wants rid of the others. For once I am going to be obedient...but only because I agree with him!

Jumbo, what kind of closure have you used on your cushions, buttons, a zip or the envelope finish thingy? I am getting so confuzzled over trying to get an invisible zipper foot for my machine so i can put invisible zips in cushions so I might do the envelope thingy.
Off to get Mr 10's toe redressed...........that will not be pretty:o(

Love the cushions Jumbo .Beautiful day here again - Clyde. We are expecting 32deg. Too hot at night. Haven't had a decent sleep for 3 days and I am a bit jaded. Have a lovely day everyone. Gee I love those cushions.

Wee, I bought some white crazy patchwork and lace cushions years ago, on the back is the front of a shirt with the buttons so tis easy to get the inner out but easy to make.

I tried to give the site for the cushion instructions but it went all haywire! Just envelope backs wee...the first time I have done them. I usually do buttons at the back but this is heaps quickerer! Have been out and given the quilt to the op shop. They are going to raffle it with a cane cradle. They look good together. Having a nice day?

Hi hi...lovin your cushions Jumbo...snap im making some too not fancy like yours just co-ordinating with my drapes. another warm day but not intolerable have an easterlie breeze with 30 degrees....right must turn the chicken over he likes to get a tan on both sides hehe...having roast chicken, salad stuff and new spuds yum yum yum...how many places shall i set for 6???

Ta da!!! All finished, attached a hanging sleeve, tested it with a broom handle and this pic is draped over the fence so you are not seeing the top of the 'shelf' however it is the same height as the bottom and sides.

I love the result, I've completed it 11 months early - now I have to keep it a secret for all that time. LOL

Thanks Coalie, I'm hoping that she won't. BTW that dragonfly was made by a very talented friend and given to me for my 60th last July. We have a copper lobster on a rock as well. The man does really good work and mostly it is given to friends. He spends a long time in the planning of his work. Had alook behind his garage the other day . . .it looks like a hot water cylinder graveyard.

Haha Jumbo - it just went so well. Am thinking of a men's one for my bro made of 100% cotton men's shirts that I have gathered for the purpose. However, his 60th is 2018 so may do something else in the meantime!

Or maybe I should start now in case the fingers, back and eyes start to pack up. Isn't life cruel that now when I want to do these sorts of crafts it gets harder to thread a needle etc.
