quilt is lovely Jumbo, I haven't done any of my quilt this year ! ive been glueing buttons on the lamp .....time consuming but restful :)

Did anyone feel that quake at 5 this morning ?? I did it made a few things rattle..

Grandies gone home :( #1 daughter was given a neighbours tree of plums so she has been making jam, sold some at the market this morning and its covered all the jam she has made and kept or given away and will make for a few weeks.
ive lit the fire ! January and the fires going !!! tis cozy now tho.
Safe trip for the Dude and his Mum wow shes doing well to be able to travel so far. That's what didn't happen at the get together no one talked dutch :( I tried to get Twi and the lady from Lovely Living to talk dutch last time Twi was here but they wouldn't either :(

LOL i said good bye to the lady in dutch, coalie i was just talking to my son last night about getting the rest of the wood into the shed because i think winter is going to come sooner this year :(

dna yes its applique quilting (making a picture as to making squares )
yes thats it plainish background and colours to match thats what the visor flex is for its iron on and keeps the piece in place while you sew around it

Think about what colour you would like your cat to be and get a piece of fabric for that...and the window frame...and the walls surrounding the window...and if you want a tree in the background, or some flowers, get bits of colours for those too. My philosophy is that colours don't clash! The more the merrier for me...but that is just my opinion. If you look in gardens you will notice the riot of colour...nature can't be wrong...can it! Anyway I'm sure you will be happy with your picture in the end. After all...you are only going to choose colours that appeal to you eh?
