I cannot wait to surprise everyone with my attire. Actually I only really need the top half of a bikini because the hanging belly would cover the other...and the g string will only get swallowed anyway! ( I hope no one is eating...it'll make em barf! )
I am trying to make a triangular pencil case and I think I might have perfected it. I think? That'll be a mackerel!!

Hope you're not too sore, Coalie!

I've had a great day, went for a 5.2km run this morning, then went shopping and bought hiking boots! They're great, they're a bit like tractors. Then went to see Les Miserables (was fabulous!) then tried out my tractor boots on an hour long hike up hill and down dale and through streams etc. they're fab!

Tomorrow I'm not going to be able to move, but I'm going to work anyway so will be hunched in front of the computer all day...my legs will thank me for it!

You will be sore tomorrow - a fall jars all the joints, doesn't it? At least there was no lasting damage!

I either need to find a new job or win lotto. They make winning lotto really hard though, i reckon they should make it easier.

Drommy! Where has that newly found perspective went? Sunday is a day of rest ! Sounds as though you were more active than me...and coalie was too!! Skippie and I went to a quilt show today. I didn't buy ant chocolate either even though it was at the chocolate factory. It was an amazing show and because there was a cafe there we ended up having lunch there as well . Really nice it was. That was followed by a quick trip to the quilt shop where I bought ANOTHER pair of pinking shears. I only got one a few months ago and they are hiding from me...I thought the family might have 'borrowed' them but they all deny it. I think I might have put them in a safe place...anyone know where it is?
Cooling down here at last...yay!

There'd be quite a gap between the knees and the bottom! I'd have to fashion some artificial thighs out of papier mache or something...

Cut on the bias and pink the seams is a family joke. Muttley pretends he knows lots about stitching...and that is his catchphrase! Might work drommy...just might...depending on which daily or weekly used. Truth might hurt? The Dominion would be strong. The Herald would tell too many too much. The Woman's Weekly would talk too much...and talk about gossip! The Listener? As long as not too many of them were like the said muttley it could work. Good luck!
Sweet dreams. Am off for my beauty sleep.

I didn't get much of a sleep in and now I'm at work (blerky) but on the plus side I'm not too sore either! (I'd be less sore, of course, if I hadn't slipped when returning some DVDs this morning and landed flat on my copious bum. I think I actually bounced.)

Apart from some bruising to my dignity I'm fine though!

Heading home soon - I'm actually achieving next to nothing. Too many people here, too many interruptions. Meh.

Hope you're all having good days!

I hope they have attached a seat belt to your now fixed chair Coalie!

Now o wise ones, Missy wants a cover for her laptop and I found this cute tutorial
http://sewmamasew.com/blog2/2009/05/elizabeths-fabric-focus-
5/

it suggests using "fusible fleece". Is that pellon? or what should I ask for at Spotlight or a sewing shop? I guess I could quilt some fabric first and then make up the cover but once Missy has seen something she wants it has to look the same as the picture;o)
Another sticky hot day here, I had an expensive date with the stickman this morning too Dilli, it was very nice to chill out by the freezers though:o)

Wee you can buy batting at spotlight that is for bags, it feels a bit stiffer and holds its shape better. It's not a iron on but you can always stitch xhatch before assembly. I have used it and it holds well.

My glass slipper was actually jandals (which is why I slipped in the first place) and unfortunately they're fine. My butt is also fine - still has the volume that it did this morning (more's the pity)!

We had fishburgers with homemade yummy tartare sauce - I've made mayonnaise from scratch before and it's been marvellous, but this is the first time that I made successful tartare sauce! Previous tartare sauces have been insipid and oily and not tangy at all.
