Hope it doesnt get to hot for you though the weather doent look to good in the bay far to hot you need a good raining.
Sewing for me early this morning before the grandies arrive then it will be cutting again as I can do that in the same room as the children.
Not many more weeks of the holidays left now.

Good morning. Cooler here today thank goodness! When I put the aircon on yesterday the cats were happier than I was. Tabitha rolled about on the floor soaking up the cool air and Brooke lay stretched out as long as she could make herself. It was stinking hot!

Turned out quite warm after a mild morning here. I been doing some sewing but having a break now....What would be the best batting to use for cot quilts ?? cotton ??

Yes cotton Shell, I use cotton for all the quilts.
Didn't realise Wee is away, that's good hope shes having a lovely time.
lawns finished tis good having a shady garden.
Blossom has a sore ankle its swollen shes had it before and its come right, yesterday she could hardly walk but today walking pretty well and seemed happy but tonight she started pecking it and had it bleeding. now covered in bepanthen, plasters and bandage. she even has a mickey mouse plaster hehe :)
fish salad and chips here, plenty to share.

Hi everyone. We got back this afternoon. 5 lovely hot days at Gore Bay:o). The kids love the surf, they spend hours in the sea and it is one place that they dont argue! I had a good laugh at the thought of Blossom parading her mickey mouse plasters. We looked after the neighbours chooks for a week last week and then had more to feed at Gore Bay. Mr 10 loves the chickens. Thankfully the fires are not near where we live. Holly, your sister will no doubt be dictated a bit by price if wanting to buy a house in Chch - suburbs with no land damage can be quite pricey. We live near the airport in Bishopdale/ Harewood which had minimal damage but other good areas would be Avonhead or Upper Riccarton. We have changed internet providers so I have a new email addy so will send an email out to you lot. We now have "all you can eat" youtube so we dont run out of internet anymore.

Poor blossom with bandaged legs. L needed a bandaid the other day and all i could find in the bathroom were pink barbie ones !! he didnt care..

One of the Napier quilts groups is having an exhibition of their work, we will go and have a look at the quits, the yummy part is that it's on show at The Silky Oak, which is the local chocolate factory with homemade chocolate.
