Morning all, going to be a hot one here today me thinks, no breeeze no clouds just sunshine !! got all doors and windows open till it gets hot then will close later..

Grizz - i lived in the australian heat for 11 years, i got used to it even tho i hated it..
Coalie - i did alot scuba diving in oz was amazing !!

Have any of you looked up that Bronwyn Hayes ?? i just did but should not of, heaps of stuff on there i want to make.
Twi - i had a big tidy up of my little cramped sewing area the other day, i can actually see the rest of my table and ironing board now. I moved my table a tad so i could shift my ironing board as i need it when im sewing. L kept knocking my iron off the board where i had it im surprised it still goes !!

tea, no fishermen home yet, daisy just had dessert ( icecream ), plenty to share we have been sitting in the sun threading beads making bangles while she warmed up. her lips were tinging blue.

Back from a lovely day in the sun in Auckland. We took our daughter (her birthday tomorrow) and her boyfriend to Devonport for lunch - and no I did NOT venture in to Cushla's Quilt shop. We went up to North Head and also sat along the waterfront watching people out enjoying the day.

Happy birthday to all the celebrities/celebrants/...oh shit...people celebrating birthdays, especially 83 year old Mum!
Not too hot here today and had a great time in my shed. Haven't made a lot of progress but happy anyway. Options ( no Dilli not potions ) tried and discounted and decisions pending.
We had BBQ cooked steak with stovetop verges for tea and it was yum yum yum.

Evening all, home safe and sound, has a great week end and the Dude managed to get friends new computer all set up, so she is all happy now. Los of traffic on the road, with a few idiots who always have to take risks and place others in danger. Have a few new quilting ideas, otherwise not much was done except talk and exchange magazines and ideas.

Yes shell...it was well and truly bedtime! I remember it wasn't that long ago that you were commenting about the late nights some of us had...welcome to the club!
Breakfast is ready and waiting. It has been raining all night and the skies are leaden again today. Maybe we might get some more much needed moisture. There has been a total fire ban for a while now and everything is crispy brown. Sil has been irrigating so that there is something for the animals to eat.
Housework is first on the agenda for me today. Have a great one yourselves.

well i woke up at 5 this morning with mega tooth ache, was not pleasant, took some panadol went back to bed did not get back to sleep !! Its ok now but i will have to go to the dentist me thinks and have it looked at the thing is i hate hate hate the dentist, im petrified already and i havent even rung yet..they gonna have to knock me out if i have to have fillings done.
I had all my 4 wisdom teeth out a few years ago but i went on waiting list and had done at the hosp.
Whats for tea ?? too hot to cook, its blowing like hell here at the moment.

Ooh shell...toothache is horrid. Just go to the dentist. They are used to nervous people and I'm sure they would look after you well. They are no friend of mine either...but I'm always surprised at just how short the time in there is, and how painless too. Take L with you to hold your hand...unless of course he is afraid too.
I've had ham and salad for tea and it was yummity yum. Also did quite a bit of sewing today so am happy.

ive been changing things around a bit today and doing some painting in the kitchen, managed to smash the microwave door it shattered lol I laughed it was so dumb how it happened.
will sew tomorrow much better for the appliances I think haha :)

Well the wanderer came home finally....2 o'clock this morning there was this meow,meow at the bedroom window !!! In for a feed and out again an hour and a half later but was here again at 6....ummm wee trip to the vets this week me thinks :)

Holly i used clove oil once it made me sick as it went down my throat but the stuff works, might get some till i can go dentist, will have to get someone to look after L as he will freak if i take him too..

no story about how the door shattered it was a had to be there thing it just wouldn't sound as good as it was. I painted the tiles dark green I googled and you cant paint tiles it will come off easy as sooo I raided hubbys shed and found glue, mixed it with the paint and I think its not going to come off maybe ever haha looks so nice am pleased with them. it was either paint them or take them off.

Thank you for breakfast...just the cold one thanks Dilli. I have another batch of apricot chutney on the stove...that's four lots so far. It's yummity yum...and I think the grandboys like it too. Youngest one came over with an empty jar yesterday asking if I had any more of 'this stuff please'. Muttley was amazed that they had got through a jar in a day...I think he has forgotten just how much boys eat!
More sewing for me laterer...I am enjoying my time in the shed. What are you all getting up tp? Going to the dentist shell? Get it over and done with as early as you can then you won't fret about it for too long.

Goodmorning chicks...nice and cool here just how i like it, makes for good weather to work in...ripped my arm at work last night peeled back the skin lotsa blood lol good thing i work with nurses they had me patched up in no time all good...well now me sewing maching is performing well again i have been creating...have 2 cushions to make for daughters bed/birthday pressy but need a trip to spotlight first...hehehaha going to dunedin on thursday so will shop till me little eftpos card runs dry...mm is quite paitient so no problem there...visiting my brother as well so should be a good day! enjoy your day everyone :~}

Ooooh Grizz, that sounds painful. Good to know it hasn't stopped the sewing!

I have now sandwiched my "bookshelf" together and am sewing inside each and every "book". It looks as good as I had imagined. Slow work tying off the threads and threading them into the sandwich though. Any hints for making that easier . . . . all you machine quilters? I am sewing inside each 'book' individually because I like the look of not having the stitches travelling over to the next book.
