I was just lurking in the parenting thread and a lady has posted that her 13 year grand daughter is pregnant, she shouldnt be doing it at her age. I was still playing with my dolls when i was 13 not playing with boys !!! gee they start young now, very sad really 13 is still a child..

That is very sad Shell, must say at 13 there was a crowd of us that we hung out with, no particular boy friend as such, certainly no sex, was to scared to even think about it, the shame of it in a very Catholic part of the Netherlands.

LOL Holly it happened at about the first treble haha she is doing sooo well, flowers were made today and yup they took 2minutes teaching ! :)

Morning all . . . off out for a walk with my friend. We walk up and down the main street of Hamilton when the weather isn't good enough for a riverbank walk.

We went to see "Quartet" last night - it was a rather good movie with some good laughs.

Morning all.
Its cloudy here with the sun shinning thru a wee bit !!
Lovely and cool so im going to do a bit of shuffling around with my dining table and couch's, i dont have alot of room in here to do much !! Ive had the same for the last 4 years am im over it !!
Will do some more sewing later .
Twi - crochet is very relaxing. I took a blanket that i crocheted into the hospice just before xmas, the lady at the desk loved it and said things like that are really appreciated and i felt good donating it....was my good deed for 2012 !!

Man it is hot! I have been cutting black and white squares for a quilt and the sweat is running down my face...I had to go inside for a drink! You are a clever clogs twi...I can't wait to see a picture of the cushion. I just love the blanket coalie is doing...and her mum is great at it too. Must run in the fambilly.

Well I shuffled things around and they ended going back in the same places, i cant rearange any different. Was a good excuse to do some spring/summer cleaning. I short cut my vacuming sometimes and skip going under couches, there was plenty of dust bunnies and dog hair.
Having lunch now im a bit late..need my cuppa tea..
My little doggy is being a real sook and wont leave my side, she hasnt eaten her biscuits this morning hope she is ok..

We had home made burgers...yummy! More here if you want one dilli. I made some blocks today and discovered that I didn't make them how I wanted them! No worries...I'll still. Finish this one and there is enough fabric left for the otherer one! EVERY time I do something I balls it up!?*#
Maybe I should be more like Santa and check everything twice. Nice and cool here thank goodness. Was hot on my room though with the iron on. How many cushion covers today twi?

Well I have had a productive morning for once. I picked apricots from the tree my mum planted over 20 years ago and have made a batch of pickle with them, and as well as the normal chores have almost finished putting together the quilt top I started yesterday! Mind you they are very simple big blocks...so sort of cheating! Should have it together this afternoon...then to piece the back and quilt it.
Happy travels twi. Thank goodness the family is there to keep you company coalie...the house always feels so empty when someone leaves eh?

have had a lovely summery day and nice temp.
got hubby to pull a couple of boards off the front of the verandah so I can get little trees out. we have a HUGE Wisteria tree and it send up trees everywhere the ones in the garden and lawn are easy to get out but not so easy when you cant get to them. will get them out tomorrow if I can get under there before the kids.
typical Friday night tv, not much on :(
