shell you lucky girl having all that sun tis raining and cold here have the fire going :), daughter had a sleepover last night they all slept in a tent then rained early this morning :(

Any chips left? Yummo! Day two done and dusted...and a lot further on in the process but still nowhere near finished. We have learned how to inset the thinnest of slivers of fabric with complete control over what the finished size will be...and it is awesomely easy and effective. Rosalie is a great woman. She generously gives of her ideas and circles the room at least three times a day to give each person individual attention. She can be heard saying...I this was my quilt, I would... Skippie and I like to eavesdrop and suck up all the ideas we can. It's a great weekend. The weather so far has been great but it is supposed to rain tomorrow. Well actually it's not supposed to rain because we want it to be fine...but the forecasters are not listening to us. See you all laterer...

I agree with coalie that workshop does sound amazing and alot of fun.
I fell asleep early too, was very tired for some reason.
Sunny here and not a breath of wind, not skyting or anything lol...
You are a crazy lot coalie, the things that go on in here they make me laugh..
Hope to do some sewing later, i got another xmas tree skirt top done, i might end up with a few orders.
Will try and put up a pic of my one later. My sis loves the one i made her.
I need a tidy up on my table today, cant really see the top of it..

We still have sunshine but a few clouds hanging around, had a rain shower a wee while ago.
Not sewing yet, havent decided what to do..been looking at my fabric tho lol
I want to have a go at "quilt as you go" . Im not into quilting big quilts, too hard so thought this may be an option.Have got to get some batting first.
Off to find a recipe for orange choc chip muffins as L loves them and too expensive to buy at supermarket.
Have a lovely arvo, jugs just boiled but no bickies L has cleaned out the biscuit tins !!

ive been imagining an art quilt with a castle and a tree etc just have to get it drawn on paper before it goes poof hehe

Good morning from Kaikoura where we are having a coffee before we head off to the quilt shop! Course has been magical. My head is spinning fit to kill with all the info. The ladies there said the course was the best one they have ever been on...sure was better than I could have imagined.

im trying to enlarge a pic of a castle, its getting there. i was going to do it lots of colours but have changed my mind and just doing free motion sewing in black on white.

Morning all, gorgeous lovely day in the Bay. Yep, had a great time in CHCH and learned heaps, sometimes to much to take on board, now we have to put into practice what we have learned. Rosalie is a lovely Lady, a great teachers and a beautiful quilter, she didn't hold back any info or technique that she uses in her quilts and she just oozes energy. I am sure Jumbo and I will keep talking about this for a very long time. Better go and do something. See you all laterer.

Morning all. Well I didn'tget into bed until after 1 this morning. Muttley's ears will be worn out! Skippie is so right... Rosalie is a generous teacher indeed and I have dreamt last night of some things I want to do with my quilt. We have been ordered to either go with our piece to have coffee with her in Durban in six weeks time or to email a picture of the finished piece. And...she said...I will know if you have started again ! We are not allowed to...so there is plenty to be done.
