sunny and drizzly here, daughter and Daisy Bee been to play now for sewing trying to stitch in the ditch without a walking foot, its looking ok so far maybe haha

stitch in the ditch looking good now, tried it with the darning foot and was ok but not quite straight lines, now using the ordinary sewing foot and yay all good, ok back to it ......

..... to this with the fabrics I have. The rust coloured 1" strip is the fabric I've had for a really long time and the top picture gave me the idea of how I could use it. There is going to be a border of the same rust fabric and probably a narrower navy blue strip between the blocks and the border. This will be for my adult son.

Hi ya coalrange, quilt is coming along sloooooowly, lol. I made a block which was way too small and so started again. Then it took me ages to figure out why the tension on the machine sucked, turns out it was just my sewing ability, lol. Will post pic of block I finally finished yesterday....back in a minute.
