Well who has created what today? I have had a nana nap after going to the school gala, cooked a roast dinner, eaten it and have started looking at what I will be doing at school for three days next week. The lovely kids have from pre school needs to being fairly able...so have to have plenty of variety to cater for all.
I am feeling nervous about the sale tomorrow...I just hope some of it sells. It's not expensive at $5 a fat quarter so fingers crossed.

Evening all, had Fish n Chips at daughters place tonight, was yummy.
Twi, thanks in advance I have photocopied one pattern out of a magazine from the same designer, it's in Dutch but you will have no problem following that. The other two I will have to get done with a colour photocopier for the front , it's always nicer if you can see what the original is.
Jumbo of course we will sell our fabrics as they are just gorgeous. Daughter no 1 was already trying to claim some.

Tis wet here today...Muttley was going to mow the lawns at the beach but methinks he is plum out of luck! They take all of ten minutes to do...who wants to go to the beach and garden all weekend?

Good morning all:o) Happy Birthday for last Friday Twi. Lots of new things happening for me to keep me out of mischief. I got my CV together and have applied for a part time job and am going through all the processes at the moment - drug test tomorrow! Hopefully it wont pick up the amount of caffeine I drink from cups of tea or the chocolate I consume! Missy turns 14 on Wednesday, we had her party yesterday - 7 extra teens in the house = empty pantry and ringing ears! Mr almost 10 is going well with tutoring and next term he will do 2 hours per week which is my motivation for getting a job. Not a lot of crafting going on. I have knitted a few things for beanies for babies and am currently doing some socks for a birthday present for a friend.
I hope your market stall goes well today Skippie and Jumbo.

thanks wee for the birthday wishes, thats so good you have been appling for jobs, what kind of work are you after ?? LOL at the drug test :) part time work is very theraputic it gets you out of the house and in my case meeting lots of people, i have xtra hours for the next 4 weeks with staff members going on holidays, still havent done any sewing since back from my holiday but got plenty of insperation from the craft show last weekend

..... to this with the fabrics I have. The rust coloured 1" strip is the fabric I've had for a really long time and the top picture gave me the idea of how I could use it. There is going to be a border of the same rust fabric and probably a narrower navy blue strip between the blocks and the border. This will be for my adult son.

Twi I dont wear black ever......... the dress is for me daughter.
finished the outer bodice and lining bodice today. Skirt tomorra. Its a hard colour to sew. So taking it in stages.

I have just finished baking, choc chip cookies, cupcakes, muffins and an unbaked slice........that will keep the kids going till about ummmmmmmmmmm Tuesday?
Twi, the job is with NZ post at the mail centre, 5 mins from home. Mail sorting basically and night work 9pm to 1am. It is an on call position so mainly relieving for people on leave and sickness. So pleased to hear you enjpy your job. I am not ready to do daytime work yet, the kids often have appointments and get crook in the winter and I don't have anyone to mind them if they are unwell so that I can work.

Well...the quilters weren't really wanting hand dyed fabrics today. Between us we only sold 22 fat quarters. Lots of people enjoyed looking at them and told us they were lovely, but their money stayed in their pockets. Oh well...on the upside we have heaps of hand dyed fabric to use!
What have you got up to today...apart from those ones who have already told us of course!

I have now sewed all the blocks together. Yes, I will quilt it. As this is for my son, I'll hand quilt it at some stage. Haven't thought how yet, got to get some navy for the inner border now.
