Yeh for Holly grandie winning their netball game and the Cup. It always gives you a buzz when you see them do well and enjoying themselves.
I have just finished washing the car as it was filthy from our muddy drive. Have also finished putting a border on a quilt top that we are making as a friendship quilt. Now I have to piece the back together. It's been a gorgeous day here, but there is a lot more snow on the ranges, so many a cold night still to come. Time to think what to have for tea, is some times kinda boring cooking for yourself.

Thanks Skippy. I used cardamom, coriander, cloves, cinnamon and nutmeg. I will have to check out the dutch shop for the specific mix. Regardless of the taste the kids are woofing the biscuits down, luckily the recipe made 100:o)

Morning all. What a busy weekend so far. The Wellington girls came home...drommy has just left to return and K is staying for a few more days...lucky me! I wish drommy could have as well but work is hectic for her at the moment so she will be busy as.
Glad to see you again coalie...please take a few more than 4 kg from me. I have masses to spare...so much so that when people tell me they have lost weight I know it is true because I found it! Hopefully you are on your way back up. Take care though and make haste slowly...if you are anything like I was you will have no option because the body refuses to do what the mind tells it to.

wee the dutch shop speculaas mix has aniseed powder and ginger in as well. Its been the aniseed that I missed out hence they did not taste quite the same. but not coriander and nutmeg. either. but all your other spices you used. . but now me knows.
I have 2 recipes one has almond (ground) in it as well being the only difference.
Will see what skippies recipe is like.

Morning all, finally got to take our wee dog for a walk after 4 days being stuck inside. Sun is trying to shine now.
