Jugs on for hot drinks and brekkie here also if you would like .
Have a nice day all
me will be appliqueing all day today yeaha I love appliqueing.
Tried yesterday to find some fabric with pink teddies or just the faces on with no luck so looks like the pillows for this lot of quilts wont have small motiffs on them which doesnt matter as long as it has the same fabric.

Welcome home Twi, great to read that you had a great time, even though it was on sleep sometime. You really didn't miss much on the weather front as it has rained here most days, if not every day.
As for not buying fabric, were you not well, I hope you took note of the names of the fabrics that you really liked so you can search them on line.
Going out soon to see the quilts at the Exhibition. So those who are late for breakfast better hurry.
Have a fun day.

morning all :)
skippie the fabric shop i went to was rather old fashion fabrics was not for me was owned by an elderly lady but did go to spotlight mmmm well you think nz spotlights are messy you should go to one over there boy what a mess the craft fabrics were piled about 10 high and dumped everywhere i spoke to another lady who was shopping there and she just gave up it was that bad
coffee and scones ready here for any takers :)
just catching up on washing and cleaning then hopefully sorting some fabric out for next quilt
have a lovely day :)

twilight23 - 2012-08-05 10:39:00
35394

I understand twi, nothing more off putting then messy shops where you cannot find anything, that to me shows that they don't care and really don't want to sell.
Thanks for the scones, what is you next quilt going to be like, just being nosy.

skippie1 - 2012-08-05 11:58:00
35395

The Spotlight shop in Melbourne of Sydney road has 3 shops to it and they are all as bad as each other so much fabric just dumped anywhere You can see to shop. I never go in there.
Thanks for the yummy scones. Coffee break for me.
Must think of something for lunch then back to the zips. And YES if have plenty of coffee and coke zero to get me through this lot it will take a few days though.
Have a nice arvo all.

dilligaf_dah - 2012-08-05 12:41:00
35396

Dilli, how in earth did you get 2000 zips to sort. Are they nylon or metal zips, what length, hmmmmm could use some to make pencil cases or toiletry bags. Let me know when you list them, thanks

skippie1 - 2012-08-05 13:12:00
35397

Hi :)
we have a sunny summers day here again, come and thaw if you are chilly.
Grandies and kids been and i did some sewing and watched lots of olympics, ive been staying up wayyyy too late hehe no beauty sleep at all ! thanks for cuppas, have a nice arvo :)
Dillis gone zippy hahaha and Skippie wants to toooooooo

coalrange1 - 2012-08-05 13:53:00
35398

hahahahaha Coalie me zippy eh...... Feels like it though.
Skippie I won an auction with over 2000 zips some months back here in Hamilton so it was easy to pick up. Have started sorting them in in colours so far. Then in their sizes, and size of teeth(Zippers) (Most are in bags or boxes labelled) which makes it easier.
Its just taking all the different photos and then re sizing them and then listing them.
Most have plastic zippers, normal, heavier, and heavy duty.
Oodles of black and navy and grey.
Skippie have listed the yellow ones and red ones so far. What colour were you looking for and what sizes. Pencil cases etc are 30 cm to 35 cm eh........ or what size were uyou looking at making.?????

Good evening all. I have been lurking:o) Am so tired all the time, also waiting on blood test results. I found this on another thread tonight and it made me chuckle.....

My Travel plans 2012 - 2013.
I have been in many places, but I've never been in Cahoots.
Apparently, you can't go alone.
You have to be in Cahoots with someone else.
Would you care to accompany me?

I've also never been in Cognito. I hear no one recognises you there.
I have, however, been in Sane. They don't have an airport; you have to
be driven there. I have made several trips there, thanks to my
friends, family, and most certainly work.

I would like to go to Conclusions, but you have to jump, and I'm not
too much on physical activity anymore. It's an age thing.

I have also been in Doubt. That is a sad place to go, and I try not to
visit there too often. Not recommended at all.

I've been in Flexible, but only when it was very important to stand firm.

Sometimes I'm in Capable, and I go there more often as I'm getting older,
or have had too much to drink someplace.

One of my favourite places to be is in Suspense! It really gets the
adrenalin flowing and pumps up the old heart!
At my age I need all the stimuli I can get! I'm currently there at the moment.

I may have been in Continent, but I don't remember what country I was
in. It's just another age thing.

PLEASE DO YOUR PART

Today is one of the many National Mental Health Days throughout the year.
You can do your bit by remembering to share this with at least one unstable person.
That's it, my job is done!

Life is too short for negative drama and petty things. So laugh insanely, love truly and forgive quickly!
From one unstable person to another... I hope everyone is happy in your head - we're all doing pretty well in mine.
I personally live in the state of Confusion. It's a fun place to be and there are a lot of other people there and I'm sure I met you somewhere in the crowd.
