Did 3 loads of washing today
and now have another pile of mending to do tooo.
went to bsb to pick up the fabric for me sister.
got home really tired.

finshed going through the large black plastic bag of fabric I was given.

All small pieces but managed to get 1/2 nappies out of most of it so now have pined together 2 halves to make nappies. Boy what a job (did over 100) now I am really sick of looking and cutting nappies.
Have heaps of off cuts big enough for 5 or 6 inch squares so will list those this weekend.
What have you all been doing

Saw some of the opening ceremony yes Skippie it was great :)
Grandies been so ive been playing then went to op shop oooh i got a cuckoo clock lol it starts off as a cuckoo then a cat comes out of the little door meowing and has the bird in its paw haha. it has a daisy pendulum tis so cute. oh and a light sensor so its quiet at night.
#2 daughter came and borrowed a jacket of mine this morning !!!! no it wasnt a fancy dress and yes i was shocked LOL shes in the miss nature coast pageant ( she went to the mitre 10 mega womens night and the photographer talked her into it ) she is having a great time, today shes at the races parading around shes learning so much and the biggest thing for her is public speaking which she has never done. oooh and you get to dress up after a days work she so enjoys being able to dress up.

congrats on daughter 2 sounds like a lot of fun for her.
Watched the later part of the opening cermany with all the countries coming in and the lighting of the flame. which was nice.
Beeen flamin cold here all day.

Thanks Dilli, #2 daughter hasnt won shes just in it, i never thought much of pageants but she is learning alot and enjoying it.
Been sunny here was warm in the sun, the fires been going all day in here tho.

mornin all, yes a lovely crisp frosty mornin here in Chch. coalie I don't think I will be entering into the bidding on those boxes of quilting fabric. Think it just might go way beyond my budget. Would love to see what each box contained.

Home made pumpkin soup on stove for tea, nice crusty bread to go with it.
Sat with L today and watched a christmas movie, he's very much into christmas as the mo but hes a bit early..

Evening all, back out of my room. I have finished the Blue and White quilt, finally, have to label it tomorrow and then it can be handed in.
Tidy up time now in my room before I will start the next quilt.

Jumbo is still not well, didn't shake the last cough and now it is back with a vengeance, not sure where drommy is, but there are also a few birthdays in the family and that is keeping them all busy. I will see jumbo tomorrow and will let her know that you are missing her.

Just got back from the doc on antibotics for me infected sinuses hence the flamin headaches. But alls well can still sew.
Just filled all the bobbins with a nice bright read embroidery thread for appliqueing. kept filling till the cotton run out. Have 20 bobbins filled. So that would do a few appliques eh............
Sewing tomorra cutting the dolls quilts today. well starting to.

Hello good people - the family is alive and kicking!

Well, Jumbo's alive and hacking and coughing by all accounts, but other than that we're well.

Work has been overwhelmingly busy for me so unfortunately my weekends have been spent either working or sleeping, I've hardly done any quilting recently. Plus I had a dreadful cold for a few weeks but I seem to be well and truly on the mend now. Phew. (Unfortunately, work's only going to get busier over the next few months so my weekends will still be a bit chaotic...but in between working and sleeping I hope to fit in some sewing!)

Hope you're all well, and Skippie, you should give the kitties some patties! They're REALLY hungry.

I saw them last time I was there but did not have enough money to buy some. They are the polar fleece printed pattern blankets Mainly for boys from what I could see. Will buy some next time.
