Thankyou all for the lobbery birthday wishes the balloons and coke and cake.
Had a lobbery day so far all the girls have been and grandies. Lots got eaten. and silly me forgot to cook the sausage rolls so will leave them till the weekend.
Got spoilt with lotto tickets and coke zeros and chocolate bars.
recipe books ( must take the hint to bake more eh) heheeeeee tea towels and again ausies chocolates. So lots of chocolates here to eat.

Jumbo the stamp carving sounds so much fun, they are expensive to buy. what pics are you carving ?
Thanks for cuppa and cake and fudge and some other yum stuff i found haha ooh it was good.
sooo if you want to get labels off jars easily, fill the jar with boiling water and the label peels straight off ( that was random aye hehe ) you will remember that one day when you want a label off :)
i havent sewn today yet but have so many ideas of what to do tis a bit overwheming.

Morning all! A relaxed breakfast down the road from skippie if you feel like it...self help is the order of the day.
Coalie I made a bird sitting on a branch. I got the carving stuff from a school supplies place in Auckland...Education Essentials I think it is called...EEL is their shortened name. The bocks came in a pack of ten pieces and measures 15cmx21cm...wait for it...$92.40 plus gst for the pack BUT...and it is almost as big as my butt!!...I have only made one stamp so far which is a good sized one and there is stuff galore left from the first sheet. It is thick enough to carve both sides as well. I am thinking of doing a positive and negative image for each stamp. Good to share with someone else who might be interested too. You can get a smaller pack of ten pieces...11 sq cm for $35. 51 plus gst but I wanted more versatility.
Just as well I am working all next week eh?

busy morning this morning drs then to get prescriptions etc done, so that will be the whole morning taken care off (I have to bus everywhere or walk) and that is such a time waster. But only sewing for the rest .

Jumbo the stamps really arent expensive, you are going to end up with alot of them and the kind you want, ooh like Dilli said looking forward to seeing them.
the blocks came that i bought the other day that i showed you if youve forgotten then its my latest feedback. Not sure of what design of quilt but no rush as have lots to do before it, but ideas appreciated.

Are your blocks the black and white Pierot ones coalie? If so, I reckon they are screaming out for painting with stitch and bead embellishment. What were your thoughts? Are you going to turn them into a quilt? They look magnificent!
Spent a while free motion quilting a big piece of fabric in preparation for colouring this morning. Have spent more than twice the time unpicking it tonight...and is still not finished! Oh well...it kept me out of trouble...

She did some lovely hand embroidery on the main blocks & corner triangles it is worth taking the time to do a bit of edting. Will finish it & offer it back to her.

No Nana naps here either. Have restitched all the unpicked stuff, made a rosebud stamp, finished a girly scarf for a friend's daughter and even tidied up my shed! Tabitha has followed me verywhere...even sitting on the computer table!! Brook loves hunting any blade of grass that moves...she is very busy all day but is sleeping on the pussy electric blanket now.

Watching paint dry, have you not got something better to do, is like watching the grass grow. I better go and do some more stitching.
