I'd like to do another plug for Deceasedonline.

I'd found a couple of deaths of infants whose deaths were registered at St Pancras in the 1850s, but I only had a quarter, not a specific date. I had a hunch they were "our" family, but they don't appear to have been included on any other trees. I haven't found baptisms. I think the children may have been Catholic even though the parents married in a Church of England church - not sure who has those specific records, but not Ancestry or FMP. Without spending a cent I found when they were buried and where (because those basic details pop up without spending any money). They died 8 days apart, probably of the same infectious cause.

I wasn't going to pursue this by getting the death certificate or birth certificate, as they are costly, but I should be able to prove the relationships via Deceasedonline.

A fantastic website for anyone with connections to the Scottish Highlands or Scottish Islands. Digitised books, newspaper indexes with the ability to request the full article, photos - just brilliant stuff!

This is the best site I have come across in a long time, I have found two really good articles in my first 10 minutes of reading. Historical Scottish Maps and Canadian Newspaper Archives especially for Wainwright, Alberta. I can see this is going to be addictive and I am tempted to burn the midnight oil. I am going to recommend this site to our SeniorNet Genealogy group. Thank you all for your hard work and I hope that I can contribute to the site as I get used to using it. By the way what is bumping?

If we can't get our previous sticky thread back, maybe we could ask for this one to replace it

We need to keep bumping the sticky and this thread everyday to keep them near the top of the board.

The Forest of Dean Family History Trust (an area in the UK)

http://www.forest-of-dean.net/joomla/

I came across it by accident, and the area has no genealogical interest for me that I know of, but there seems to be a lot of Family History info for the area, from a list of towns and villages, to old photos and searchable records.
