charlieb - I'm looking at some places in St Albans ... probably even closer to you than the place in Linwood.
Had several people frowning at Linwood ... can be dodgy ... so the town side of St Albans or Richmond seem a better choice.
Thankfully I have a bed at Mum's so I'll wait for the right place.

I think this is the closest I've ever come to having my own blog!!!
With everyone perched on the edge of their seats waiting to read the next installment lol!

Well, what can I say - a lady never tells ... does she???
Suffice to say I had a VERY nice evening & I will be seeing him again :)
He is somewhat older than me but not enough to be my daddy - sugar or artificial!!!

I'll be out on the apartment trail again today ... it's a frosty start here in Chch but going to be a beautiful day.
I might just have to fit in a round of the botanical gardens later too.

Thats what I am... an 'optomistic parker' - Years ago when the girls were little I was taking them to an event at the domain and was really worried about where to park... so I said to the girls "There will be a place for us" and then promptly taught them the song from West Side Story.... Theres a place for us... a time and space for us..... And as we were driving a long a man put a sign up "Parking $10" right next to the domain and zip we were in!
Now whenever we go looking for a park they say its Ok mum and burst into song... and guess what? we always get a good park.

Also while others fear the traffic if they have to go into the city... I say "Its ok... I travel in a bubble" and most times I am right! Drives my parents nuts.... and even now they joke if they are in a hurry about me driving them in.

I believe that thoughts are things & that positive thinking can directly affect outcomes in our lives ... but ...
it hadn't occured to me I was putting a negative out there when I wrote that about finding a place.
As ellie said - sometimes we set ourselves up for a certain outcome without even realising it.
"Whether you think you can, or think you can't - you're right!"

I have spotted a place I like ... the owner will contact me this morning ... I will get to view it today ... and it will be the right place for me :)

Now I'd better get up and get through the shower so I'm ready when the phone rings!!!

Great recipe fisher ... I do one quite similar with mutton. Melt in the mouth by the time it's finished.

As for my day - I have to wait till tomorrow 5pm to view the apartment I wrote about this morning.
In the mean time I drove by another couple - rang up about an upstairs one - it went yesterday - but one downstairs is vacant (block of 4) - being cleaned at the mo - not listed yet (so no competition) & I'm viewing it tomorrow lunchtime.

Good morning,
funny old day here in Chch today ... I went out to get the paper at 6 and found it was warmer outside than in the house!!!

Pam - sounds like a big project for DH in the garden ... I miss my chooks (and their eggs!!!) but they are happy in their new home. I gave them to my honorary nephew in Golden Bay for his 1st birthday. They have a huge garden to roam in & he loves watching them.

I'm sharing Mum's garden this year so will just have some pots with herbs, salad greens & a couple of cherry tom plants at my apartment.

Looking forward to my appointments today - I had a great sleep & am feeling very positive about life!

A downstairs flat may be a bit noisey? I do enjoy your Blog and greatly admire your stepping on to such a new path. Enjoyed reading about your Melbourne trip Cooks. Ali, sounds like you have the flue, is it of the dreaded sort? Get well soon-any others aflicted? Have only heard of a couple of cases in Wgtn West.
