Cannonballs makes about 20 cannonballs. 100g soft cheese (cream cheese), 100g chopped walnuts, 100g icing sugar, 50g cocoa powder and some drinking chocolate powder.
Stir the cheese, nuts, cocoa and sugar together until well mixed. Roll the mixture into small balls, each the size of a walnut. Roll each ball in chocolate powder and put in tiny paper cases.
These are yummy and easy to make with the kids :)

Nut slice...... Does anyone have a recipe for this? From what I remember it has lots of blanched peanuts, some pumpkin seeds, coconut, a few raisins and maybe some other seeds(not Birdseed Slice) and is all tied together with a lovely caramel type of mixture then with white chocolate drizzled on top. I know it is baked but I don't think it has flour in it but I could be wrong.

Connie's jalapeno brownies 100g butter, 150g (or so) chopped dark chocolate. 4 eggs, 1/2t salt, 2c sugar, 1t vanilla. 1-1/4c flour. 10 fresh jalapenos, deseeded & deveined & chopped fine (or bottled jalapenos, about 3-4T of chopped deseeded peppers) - NB you might prefer to wear rubber gloves while processing the peppers! 3/4c chopped nuts (I used peanuts, which were very nice).

jalapeno brownies cont'd Melt chocolate & butter together in microwave or top of double boiler. Beat eggs & salt in large bowl until foamy. Slowly beat in sugar & then vanilla, until all is well blended. With wooden spoon, stir in chocolate mixture until almost blended, then stir in flour until almost blended. Stir in jalapenos & chopped nuts. Pour into greased or papered 23x32cm tin & bake in preheated 175C oven for about 30 minutes. Top crust will be cracked & interior will look moist but not runny. Cool brownies completely before cutting. I made these uniced, but the recipe suggests icing them with a frosting made of 250g cream cheese, 60g butter, 1t vanilla, 4T milk or cream, 3T cocoa, 7 3c icing sugar.

whoops That frosting ingredients list should read "& 3c icing sugar" not "7 3c". They were surprisingly tasty brownies which didn't need icing. The heat of the peppers was present but pleasant, like chili chocolate.

cheesecake brownies - so bad they're good. 150gm butter chopped, 300gm good quality dark choc, 3 eggs, 1 c caster sugar, 1 1/2c plain flour, 1/4 sour cream, 250gm cream cheese at room temp. Melt butter & choc till smooth & lumpfree. Cool 5 mins. Whisk 2 of the eggs in small bowl. Add these & 2/3c of the sugar to the choc mix and stir to combine. Add the flour & sour cream. Use beaters to beat the cream cheese and remaining sugar together until smooth. Add the remaining egg and beat till just combined. Spoon choc & cream cheese mixes alternately over the base of prepared 20cm square pan. Use a skewer to create a marble effect. Bake @ 180° for 30mins or until skewer comes out clean.
