Hi All Thanks Holly, the house is nice its a great home - took a loooooong time to get tho lived in a caravan for ages then moved up in the world into a garage with 2 kids, shifted out with 4 hehe. Kids were hands on in building this it was great watching them, they learnt alot. Holly your quilt is lovely, its fun aye, wait until you get into the raggie ones they are even more fun they totally change as you make them....Oooops sorry Twilight there is a huge $$ difference there but maybe you could use those pics to sort yours out. Hows that cleaning coming along Liz ;)

coalrange1 - 2009-09-29 20:11:00

it's ok, but the fact i'm feeling crap doesn't help, damn morning sickness (shhhhh dont tell anyone) so not much done yet. hubby has put up a couple of shelves downstairs for my fabric, as he doesn't want me climbing the steep stairs into the loft.

liz_taylor - 2009-09-30 16:19:00
336

Luv the log cabin one Twilight spoke of hmmm bit hard for me yet. Holly you may like to make one of these 9 patch ones thay are easy but look complicated. Liz you made one I think didnt you ???? ok thats me, im off to cut fabric....

coalrange1 - 2009-10-01 12:39:00
346

yep, my first quilt was based on the dissapering 9 patch... Very easy, although working out where you want the patches can take DAYS! Very cute quilt too

liz_taylor - 2009-10-01 12:44:00
347

hi coalrange that log cabin is really easy it has the video to show you and the fabric dosnt have to be staight i went through the video and wrote it all down, and it uses up all your left over material your granddasughter made a lovely quilt it is so cute. you have given me an idea for my craft stall hope you dont mind, the raggie quilts come up better in flannel had a look at that 9 patch quilt that looks like fun

twilight23 - 2009-10-01 14:03:00
348

Ohhh Twilight I gave you an idea, whoa I am having a good day hehe. Will put the video to my favourites for future reference thankyou. Liz did you get your washing done....inspection probably done by now soooo you can relax aye ;)Ok fabric cut, will sew later :)

coalrange1 - 2009-10-01 15:35:00
349

yeah all washed ironed folded, and am just finishing tagging it... i like to write the price paid on my fabric (mainly so i save the nicer/dearer stuff for nice people) so am working out the area per piece of my christmas fabric, and the price from that... 16 pieces of fabric.. biggest (over 1m square) i paid 4.42 for, smallest (14" x 9") paid 28c for... YAYAYAYYAY
