Skippie that is HUGE !!! whew you are pretty amazing to quilt one that size. What pattern was the quilt please. i have some lovely liberty fabrics and intended to make a raggie. i have washed the pieces and they are drying on the coalrange and the washing is outside and has started to rain, priorities are that the washing can stay out hahaha

coalrange1 - 2012-06-20 19:11:00
34574

oh Skippie theres even less room in the kitchen cupboards now lol
T borrowed the kitchen island when they were in a house with hardly any storage soooo will get it back and then kitchen will have more storage.

Coallie that quilt was made from large blocks, each block was made up from 5 uneven strip of fabrics, block were alternately sewn together. square, not on point. The pattern I used was called Apple leaf, very soft pattern as it didn't have to made a statement, just to keep the 3 layers together, was a really nice soft summer quilt.
Coallie, I think it the Liberty fabrics would look nicer as a quilt, not a raggie, the fabrics lends it self to a nice soft country look.

skippie1 - 2012-06-20 19:18:00
34576

Coalie I got another 20 ready for the elastic to be sewn in so thats not to bad. ( I leave the elastic till I have a large amount as it needs black cotton on the top - and changing the bobbin onoy for the different colour fabric for the nappies)
Have a pile rerady to turn the borders on and put the velcro on, so slowly getting there. Looking forward to getting them done so I can do some different sewing again.

Dilli, I'll give you a WHOLE BOTTLE OF WINE. Pets aren't just entertainment, they're a part of the family and they contribute. Goodnight to their little piggie.

Meanwhile, our Dad has visited tonight and Rion (my best ever kitty) showed off by climbing in the dining room window as a treat. Rion was happy to see him! Even Mr Bingley (who's shy of visitors) joined us for dinner - Dad is a winner!
