skippie haven't even looked at the finished measurements but at the moment with the border it sits on top of the queen size bed & yes this one is not leaving this house to travel to another home. Think I can see it even getting used on our bed as DH loves it as well.

Good morning all...breakfast has been eaten but there is plenty of bread by the toaster and the kettle is hot. You know where the mugs and tea and coffee is kept so help yourself.

Mornin' all seeing as jumbo has eaten all the breakfast & left only the bread, full spread breakfast on the table here, help yourself. Dinner in the slow cooker for tonight & MY HEART quilt is completed all since 5.30am this mornin'. Now off for shower & brekkie & a wonderful day at quilt group.

i raw edge sewed all the words / hearts etc was lots of fun even tho it took about 7 bobbins of cotton lol

Evening all, started raining here but still blardy cold outside !

It is cold out walking skippie but its nice in fresh and crisp and yes we gotta eat so had to do grocery shopping, didnt mind it today actually supermarket was that busy for once.

i think we have showers tomorrow, was sunny here today and the washing dried outside.
Thats good you blobbed Holly a day in the tropics is hard work especially with soooo much company.
a quilt machine LOL, that one was tea bag dyed that was fun. but will get back into real dyeing soon, there must be snow coming surely.

Dilli the fabric is calico, a guy brought around a brown paper package tied with string, written on it in old fashioned lovely writing was 4 unbleached hemmed sheets, it was his mums, he was cleaning her house out she has gone into a retirement home. The parcel had never been opened he said it was at least 40 years old. it was in perfect condition. oooh twas exciting opening such an old parcel.
im not sewing or snipping or cutting or even playing with fabric today, having a blobby day.

just back in the land of the waking, was a bit sick last night & slept of & on for 12 hours without my machine (CPAP) on, so needless to say today have no energy & have been back in the sack for a couple of hours with the machine this time.

Good Morning ll...nose blocked, throat smarting so got up. Haven't made breakfast though becvause will try for more sllep yet.
Wow b...I LOVE all your quilts! You girls are so very productive...I will have to do some catching up methinks. This cold weather is a good chance to stay at home and sew.
We have a quilting get together at skippie's place today. Six of us meet every six weeks or so...we practise a new idea each time...artsy fartsy stuff. It is good fun...I hope my nose clears before it is time to go...

Jumping in on this thread, and am hoping someone can help me.
I would like to sew a golly for a friends child, but cannot find a pattern, the one I want to do is about 10 - 12" tall and the legs are sewn on separately and I think the arms as well. I see lots in gift shops which you can buy, but I would like to make one.
If someone knows a shop which sells them I would appreciate the name of it very much,.

grandadjim look for a pattern in spotlight or any other fabric shop. I used to have one but can not find it it was a simplicity pattern for a golliwog. Or check your library under crafts soft toys. there are plenty of patterns in books. Probally some free patterns on line as well just google golliwogs patterns. Good luck.
