I'm moderately traumatised today.

I spent $250 on ONE ITEM OF CLOTHING! ONE ITEM! I'm still horrified.

It's a raincoat, though. And a raincoat that's quite smart, that I can happily wear to work and between meetings. It's black, with a tweedy detail (but subtle) and a belt and I will no longer turn up to work wet and bedraggled.

So realistically it's a jacket that I'll wear every day for six months of the year. But it was still $250! (Amy sobs quietly into her empty wallet...)

On the plus side, I got all my chores done today so tomorrow I'll finish my blocks and will probably do the sashing! Excited!

i was going to watch 'csi' but it said it may disturb some people soooo better not watch haha i will carry on sewing, will watch 'house' ooh hope it doesnt have any warnings and then watch the last part of the rugby and still be sewing and drinking cuppas and will cook some snupper for all of us whew yup thats multi tasking haha
what do you fancy for snupper ?

Sorry guys that I have been so boring, have been busy quilting a quilt and wanted to finish it today, job accomplished and it looks great.
Tomorrow the Hawkes Bay Patch workers meet in Napier, Jumbo and I are going around lunchtime, it's always nice to see what the others are doing.
Still have to do and make my bed, pulled the sheets of this morning and nobody has been to make it for me. So better go and do that, sweet dreams

No skippie...not in bed! I have been rinsing metres of dyed fabric. It is in the washing machine now...but I will have to wash it again because we have no hot water left. Maybe the council have limited the number of hours of heating? Or have I just used heaps in the last couple of days? Anyway dd has wood fired hot water so I will have no problems!!
Have also been getting muttley's clothes ready. He is off to Gisborne soon and won't be back until Thursday...he hates being away from home, poor thing. Oh well, never mind! Guess who won't have to cook meat. potato and three veg every night? Oh gee...I'll miss that!

Thanks for snupper coallie, has been rather quiet in the last few days. What is everybody doing. I stitched 1 quilt yesterday, tonight I stitched a piece of fabric to use for bags. Also started cutting my coasters still have to stitch around the edges. Was nice to gather with likewise quilters this afternoon and see what everybody is doing, some really nice work being made.

gosh you have been busy as usual whew you sure do get alot done in a day.

Good Morning Lovely Ladies. Breakfast is hot and welcoming for all. I have finished ironing my dyed pieces but there are a few I will overdye...just because they are not bright enough. I am happy with most of the bits though so that's good. I have even got a set of murky colours which I quite like...!

Wee i used the darning foot to sew the binding on both sides and that caught the inner all round so is quite secure. i tied a few bits but gave up as i couldnt be bothered lol but it didnt need them. i did a handsewn fancy stitch on the back to cover the machine sewing.
