Nice to blob so once in a while Shell, you must have needed it. I am not watching Midwife either, missed two episodes, so it's just to difficult to pick up the thread.

Skippie have the 9 patch final lay out set in me mind but not sure it will work till I get to lay it all out...... so will have to wait and see.

Morning all, jack frost came to visit this place too but I have heat pump going so cosy and warm in here..Have L home today, think he's in for a cold already, hes been sneezing alot and also slept for 4 hours on saturday arvo !!
Some housework to be done first then maybe some sewing, will see what happens.

Just about to watch call the midwife on demand and then start trying to fudge up a pattern for a top I want to make myself (used to have one that got a bit worn out and was going to use that to make the pattern but i think i must have thrown it away bugger it)

have cut out almost all of the pattern for my new top, had to do a bit of guesswork on certain details. not quite brave enough to start cutting the fabric tho yet. times like this I wish my mum was still around so I could get her help on it, although I definitely DONT miss her ordering me to unpick every little imperfection or pucker lol. I wouldnt mind doing a proper dress making course one day, instead of guessing my way through it

Bought some dutch drop and Zwart 'n Wit (black 'n White) aniseed sweets today yummy.......... plenty for all.
Have not decided yet what to cook for dinner so maybe end up with cottage pie and veg.

What an afternoon, been working on a Broken Spider's web BOM & the instructions for the first markings were so hard to follow. i've done it but it is not 100% accurate, but it will do.

nearly done with the top I was making, just hemming up the bottom edge and the sleeves to go. It looks ok though...unique or unusual would be a good word lol
we had homemade beef swirls and chips for tea here tonight, nice and easy but that shepherds pie sounds yummy, havent made that for ages!

didnt get to do any sewing today as had to go out. but did work out the design (or how to palce them on the main quilt - hope it will work out) so not all me time was wasted. Sewing tomorra though.

I am still here, went to quilt group tonight, they are all hand quilters something I haven't done "yet". I prefer to put everything thru the sewing machine, at least that's why I have one. Another cold night here, have switched my blanket one. So it's a good night from me and sweet dreams.

and I had a real good night last night. but someone put a bomb under me bed as all the blankets had twisted so have to strip the bed to remake this morning.
Sewing for me today
a quick visit to the shop as me bedroom light has blown and I dont have a spare to fit that one. then have to wait for daughter tomorra to put it in for me.

morning girls, got to finish my top today, thats if I can convince the neighbours dog to go home. he comes to visit me periodically when theres no one home at his house. Ive missed having a dog around the place since I had my boy put to sleep a few months ago so I dont mind this one coming over for a cuddle.
Im also going over to a friends house this afternoon for coffee for her birthday (im really a tea drinker, but since its her birthday I will just toughen up and drink coffee for the day lol)
Its pretty chilly here this morning, was a frost on the ground. will have to find myself some warmer shoes to wear because i think the chilblains on my toes are making a comeback already. but the sun is shining and I can hear the roar of the ocean outside so it cant be a bad day
