I finished stitching two borders on a boys quilt today with John Deere tractors in the middle, very cute.Squared of my scrap quilt, looks great must say so myself. Now I am eating my veges. skippie1 - 2012-05-19 19:47:00 |

morning girls. bhs i am super jealous of your friends long arm quilting machine, ever since I saw one on tv years ago i mentally added it to my dream craft room lol. I saw somewhere onliine that there are places in nz that give lessons on how to use the long arm machines, maybe your friend could track one of those down (would be infinitely cheaper than buying the software!) ness315 - 2012-05-20 09:32:00
Cool Tardis Ness, you can always add some more patches to it to make it more a boy gown. skippie1 - 2012-05-20 09:41:00
yup Skippie that is the problem, computer software puts things out of reach. If I was to upgrade my embroidery machine Bernina 180 I'd be looking at nearly $20K. Think I might have enought to buy the foot pedal at the moment. bhs47 - 2012-05-20 10:18:00
Goodmorning all lovely sunny day here but chilly coalrange1 - 2012-05-20 10:43:00
I know B re the costs, I had to buy a new program for my Bernina, got V6, which is most probably not as advanced as your, but find that it's enough for me, I am not using it as much as I thought. skippie1 - 2012-05-20 11:02:00

Ok poped in before and no one had been in Just go out for a wee while and looks like everyone been nice and busy. dilligaf_dah - 2012-05-20 14:56:00
Dilli, i lay the squares out as they are to be sewn on the floor, then pick up each row as they are to be sewn together in order one on top of the other, i safety pin that lot together, then safety pin a piece of paper on numbering which row it is. i do the whole quilt like that and only pin 2 pieces together as i am sewing them or not pin them depending on the size they are. | 33789 | Ok I am making a diappearing 9 sq one You sew the nine squares together then recut making 4 squares. I have pinned al the rows of 3 squares together now... then will sew them, then join 3 rows of 3 together then recut............ does that makes sense. It is the one I liked from I Lv.... dilligaf_dah - 2012-05-20 17:34:00

Dilli, you need to cut your 9 patch into 4, before you sew them into rows. skippie1 - 2012-05-20 21:28:00
Holly? QUICK...SOMEONE CALL HOLLY AN AMBULANCE! A voice from the deep can be heard saying, " Holly is an ambulance. Holly is an ambulance. " Are you sure you bought....................Noth- jumbobon - 2012-05-20 21:29:00
Holly, they must have been running thru Spotlight, didn't give you time to look. Did you not make use of the $40-00 discount voucher when you spend $100.00. Got daughter no 1 a large cutting mat as she over the years had cut thru hers, those mats are so expensive that with a young family it's always last on the shopping list. No I didn't buy fabrics either, but went back 1 week later and bought some flannel sheets for ourselves, used another $40-00 voucher. skippie1 - 2012-05-20 21:34:00
