I will fudge my way through it some how, I usually do but the girlie loves it so that makes me feel a bit better about it. I just wont get as many years use out of it as I had hoped

Love the quilt coalie...you and skippie don't need machines. You ARE machines!
Ness...just think of how cheap the fabric was...it might make you feel better...especially knowing that your daughter loves it so much! I used to do things like that when my kids were nippers too...and I reckon our machines get hungry and eat the stuff.

Ohhhh , lovely quilt coallie, hmmm more fabrics, better not look B only get have enough stash. Dinner at daughters tonight, going to be another cold night already down to 9 degrees. Maybe some knitting for me, I did buy some sock wool today at Spotlight as it was on special and I had another $40-00 voucher, so some flannel sheets came home too. Talk again later.

my fudge tins have been empty since out meet havnt made any for ages.
Yes my fabric arrived today "in a box" of all things and it was just a 1 mtr piece. But now not sure I like the colour darker than on the photo. Will put pics up and ask for opinions.

The backing is also red,
Which is better the blue centre or the red centre. (hoped it was dark pink)
The quilt is for a 16 yr old girl.

that would be fun throwing them and watching them come down all over you :) i used to rake them all up but now i just mow them with the mulcher thingi on the mower, it looks a bit of a mess for a while but does the lawn good.
Sherlock Holmes tonight, last week we all gave up watching it, hubby watched till the end and said it was really good sooo will watch and see.

almost final effort...cant be bothered to put a pocket on it now lol.
not bad for a days work anyway. I noticed while I was sewing that a lot of the fabric has cat hair all over it, so I will have to be very carefull when I make things for my boy since he is allergic to cats. Still cant complain, it was free after all, and nothing a lot of washing cant fix

Errr.... my daughter cleaned all my floors and dust bunnies, dont know where she put them!?? but i didnt want my special visitors who come today for a few days to find any around, not a lot of people understand them.

Coalie, I never thought that I could get so involved in quilting again & really enjoy it. I just want to keep learning new things. Had such an awesome day yesterday with a friend who also quilts & somer of her quilts are just fabulous. She bought herself a long arm quilter & doesn't know how to use it. I would love to have a play on it.
