Good Morning all. Feeling much betterer today...but still haven't had my shower yet. What a lazy wench. In my defence your honour, we have snow on the ranges just over there...
Ness...I just love your wee rabbit. I can almost hear the aaaaaawww of your kids when you finished it.
Maybe get some more stars done today with a bit of luck. Tabitha and Brooke have been hooning the last couple of days...chasing each other madly around the house. It is great that they are settling well.

One lot of fabric arrived today all cut and ready for the next lot to come and cut out.
Pleased I stayed put then coalie. heheheheheeeeee
twas to cold for me this morning.
Trying to cook dinner grrrrrrrrr though I took sausages out of the freezer. and when defrosted they were bananas. so then took some sausages out and now have burnt them cooking them Was not ment to have sausages for dinner. So chips and eggs it will have to be.

Helloooo...is anybody home? I have had an awesome day...not done any sewing but did get some housework done and had a nana nap as well...then boys for the afternoon.
I love sausages dilli...how badly burnt are they? Fried bananas and ice cream sounds good too. We had chops and veges...the bare minimum of fuss! I am going to a two day course with Mary Transom this weekend so need to get all my bits and pieces together for that tomorrow. The rate I am going I should feel almost 100% tomorrow...hooray....

What a fabulous couple of days. Caught up with Wee on the phone yesterday , she had two sick kiddies keeping her busy. Had a lovely time at the quilt shop came home with a bundle of batik off cuts, that was a real bonus. Today had a girl day with friend in her sewing space, got there just after 10.30ish & didn't get home til near 5pm. Thank goodness dinner was cooking in the crock pot all day otherwise I would be fighting Dilli's dog for the burnt sausages.
the offcuts were FREEBIEs from the owner of the shop.

today I am planning on making the pattern and start cutting out the pieces for my girls new dressing gown...her old one is about 12 inches too short! poor kid is almost growing faster than I can keep up with lol but she is looking forwards to her new 'designer, custom made' dressing gown. (sounds a bit fancier than homemade)
Her old one is being passed down to her little brother but not before we Dr Who-ify it with some kind of applique design on it just for him.
Must admit I am a little daunted at the whole dressing gown thing, I know I can do it but I just havent done one before...one step at a time.....

Good luck with your patten making ness i cheated and got one off here for my boy, will hopefully get it started over the weekend ...master 11 only does half day today so i take him to the pool for a bit of relaxation after lunch, i take my crochet to do while hes in the pool, what a nice way to end the school week aye ?

oh wow coalie that quilt is such a sweet looking one! very pretty, girly colours.
Almost done on the dressing gown, got it basically done just the belt, pocket and any applique decorations to go. Its not very exciting looking but at least it will keep my girl warm this winter

ive got 2 native trees in the garden quite nice but at this time of the year they drop little flowers, i have learnt the hard way that if i dont pick up every flower they all grow into trees which then have to be individually pulled out soooo have been out and picked them up well most of them.

I believe i have been sewing in the twilight zone. girl came home fromm school and tried on her new dressing gown.... despite adding a total of 9 inches to the width it still doesnt have as much cross over in the front as I would have liked. the length is also a lot shorter than I added! This is taking the seam allowance into consideration, and she was wearing the exact same clothes underneath as she was when she tried on her old dressing gown when I measured it on her to see how much to add and where.....so where did it all go???
