morning all. was a very wet but proud mummy yesterday. the kids had soccer in the pouring rain but both of them won awards, my girl got player of the day for her team and my boy got hardest trier! next time I will remember to take an umbrella and gumboots thats for sure!
Im pretty much out of ties for my quilt now and have already raided the nearest op shops so might have to go further afield to find the final few.
Very tired this morning and Im going out to a friends for dinner tonight, hope I dont fall asleep on her hahahaha

I'm baaaack! Good afterbull constanoon...and what a lot of chatting has gone on.
Love the colours holly. I had a similar result when I tried a purple from a red and blue too...obviously the red and blue are made of different pigments. I haven't done it with the ones I tried...but if you put a few grains of the powder on a scrap of white fabric and then mist them with some water, you can see what the original colour were. But I like the browns too....
What a bunch of pigs to take baby clothes...what for? I just don't get it.
I had one of those down the throat thingies years ago...I was sedated and typical of me...I went out to it! Just as well by the sounds of things...
Hope to see skippie some time today and catch up with her goss. She is coming with me to the SPCA this week. I think I will get two cats. DD's ones aren't spending as much time here as I thought they would so I will get my own!!

coalrange1 - 2012-05-06 18:17:00
33165

Hi there you there. Yes coalie...did look at the moon before it was covered by cloud but didn't notice a significant difference...observational skills lacking!
Haven't contacted skippie. Phone is flat as a pancake...or a worn out battery...or something! Useless me hasn't got round to charging it either. Will do tonight.
BTW holly I checked my red and blue and they were not at all different as far as pigment goes. Then I thought...silly old me...red yellow and blue are the primary colours which means of course that they cannot be made by mixing colours. Shucks...some people are the silliest alive eh?!!

Lincraft is like a mini spotlight and was a rather disappointing shopping experience for me today. I got some neutral homespun and some osnaburg fabric and a couple of balls of scarf yarn. Sorry B, didn't see your message till I got home, I was there about 9.30am. I hope you had more success than me.

Dilli, Joy you are both more than welcome, enjoy.
here on the kapiti coast at the post office we can only use their bags or boxes to post anything, they are trialling it. its ok but means you cant brown paper wrap anymore.
Wee what is osnaburg fabric used for ?

wee, sorry we missed each other, got to Lincraft just before twelve & did manage to find some more fabrics to add to the stash plus the home spun that was a really good buy at $4.50 a metre. Also bought two cutting edge rulers, square & rectangle. They sharpen your rotorary blades while cutting your fabric. They were a good buy. Have come home with a smile on me dial & a stash to boot.

bhs47 - 2012-05-07 15:36:00
33199

what is osnaburg fabric used for ?
Coalie - it is used for Cross stitch & can also be used for machine embroidery. It is an embroidery fabric.
