Dropped the stuff of at the op shop and only came home with 1 flannel sheet not to bad eh. (Going to try and make grandie a flannel quilt) well one day........ so matching flannel colours up. Have me eye on an auction with some and then that should do it. So COalie who knows me may end up making a quilt yet eh heheheheheeeeeee
Dolls quilts have to come first though really need to list more than just the dolls nappies.

Afternoon all lovely day here today.
Poached eggs and a toasted english muffin for lunch here !!

just popping in to ask you all to say a wee prayer for me. I have to go to spotlight tomorrow to buy a mere 1 metre of ribbon, and I need the will power to walk out with only that... forgive me for I am weak in the ways of the craft store

Twi has blinkers ( like horses wear so they can only see straight ahead ) we all borrow them from time to time. they do work haha maybe cause you feel so silly wearing them you cant get out of the shop fast enough hahaha

Morning all with breakfast ready and waiting. I went to bed just after 8 30 last night and slept the sleep of the dead. I have laughed out loud while reading the call for prayers...I bet ness comes out with more than the ribbon....any others think the same? B...can I have some of what you've got? I need a hurry up! Twi...a softie is anything that has been made out of fabric...quilts, cushions, throws, bags, toys...and cats seem attracted to them to lie on! I love the look of the quilt in red near Angel...did you make that too? Those blinkers look too lethal for me...maybe you could design some that just allows a wee peek?

Coming over for morning tea as Ill be at jumbos for brekkie heheheeeee
I havnt done any baking yet since coming to the get together. My grandies will be hanging out for snacks. Just havnt felt like baking.
Have a few new recipes to try including yours skippie. Have th lemons not the urge to bake though .........mind you it would warm up the kitchen area eh........... maybe not such a bad idea........

jumbo Angel sleeps on everything fabric clothes (all my black stuff) my handbag (took me ages to vacum the white fur off)paper my sewing/craft books, lol thats cats for you :)
grocery shopping for me today
we have a frost this morning have the fire going so nice and warm for when i come home to sew :)

twi, I have 4 cats of which two will insist sleeping on everything, that includes the bench and dining room table, they know it's not allowed as they hear me coming and jump of before I can catch them, buggers.

forgive me for I have been weak.... I got the ribbon alright.....and more fabric which was on special and the lady at spotlight was far too helpful in finding reasons to justify why I just had to get it there and then......
oh well there are worse vices to have lol
Thanks for breakfast girls, I better get on to cutting more ties into strips or that damn quilt will never be done ( I worked it out this morning that I had started by collecting the ties something like 7 or 8 years ago! talk about a long term project!)

it was bizzare i tell you! I was walking in and headed straight to the ribbons but my feet veered towards the poplin. what could it hurt? I told myself, I'll just check out the colours to see if they have the right shade of blue for my boys tardis quilt....then I saw it, a sign saying top pop poplin $1 off per meter making it now $3.99 a meter but limited time only. sooo cheap cant resist, must get some NOW!
Am pleased with myself tho for not looking at the satins and fake furs (other projects in mind for those lol) Once I made it away from the counter it was a case of head down, eyes closed and run for the door! The staff didnt even bat an eyelid so obviously they see that happen quite often hahahaha
Ive cut my strips from the ties, will have to push myself to make at least 2 more log cabin blocks (only 6 more needed so very nearly there)

my black and white cat only sleeps on my bed but in saying that, last night when i got up to put wood on the fire she was sleeping in front of the fire, she loves me so much that she sleeps on top of me at night
